billsbasementworkshop sarpo Mira potatoes are blight resistant not blight proof there is a hell of a lot of blight on our allotment and a lot of fingers pointing of who caused it so I ripped mine up before I could get blamed
It’s not blight your ok 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 it’s just the potatoe plant coming to the end of its cycle , don’t worry , yellow equals ok , black equals blight , 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I was nearly fooled myself my first time growing , till blight hit the tomatoes then I knew what blight was 😢😢😢👍🏻👍🏻😃😃😃 looking forward to thus years updates cheers James ,
Courgettes and marrows are the same thing. When harvested fairly small, they are known as courgettes: when grown large, they are called marrows. Americans usually call the plant/fruit zucchini.
Surprised the Sarpo were hit by blight just shows we learn all the time!! Good yield from them, me personally I wasn't too keen on the taste but that is just me :) Great vid enjoyed watching!
The Grumpy Gardener to be honnist im not my allotment site is swimming in blight, im suprised the rocket dont have it yet. Will have to grow them again next year, sarpos make good fryed chips i haven't used them for anything els yet.
I've just seen these comments and I am absolutely shocked that anybody would call anybody names and to be honest with you I'm really quite disappointed
I notice in the UK and Australian posts, that a lot of you refer to "allotment" gardens. Being in the USA, I have no idea what that means. And, your son is adorable.
can give you a tip, without sounding rude. try your phone on landscape. yes you got it. it was a tip given to me by another you tuber. content is good. if its early signs of blight, just cut the haulms off..................brian
allotment life yes i know i keep forgetting i will try to remember in the future the next video is landscape it's already been recorded just need to edit it
Very well done you sounded absolutely satisfied with your harvest and who can blame you!!. Thanks for Sharing.
Hi Rachel,
I always thought that the Sarpo potatoes were blight resistant. Proved wrong.
Nice vid,
Happy gardening Bill.
