- I am now in Thailand on just about the healthiest retreat around. Here we eat raw vegan, eat the freshest fruits, such as durian (tree dropped), mangosteen, rambutans, longkongs, mangoes, coconuts and so on....
In this video we go to the largest durian market that exists... and it is seasonal, since durians don't grow in this area all year round. Right now, we are in the middle of the durian season, so they are everywhere.
This retreat is lead Chanthaburi, Thailand, by Grant Campbell, a raw vegan ultra marathon runner. I am totally loving it. I have been going every year for 3 years straight, and I totally recommend it. You will gain so much health, and lose weight even -- if you need that. I brought my lovely momma, Carla, to keep her in shape as well.

I am so glad you are documenting our adventures on Grant Campbell's retreat. It is nice we can share our trip.
You are very lucky to have such wonderful travel memories with your son. I wish I would have been able to experience such things with my parents.
Thank you Jason, that was fascinating. I appreciate that your vlog is something out of the ordinary, and not the same thing over and over again. Looking forward to the retreat videos. Keep up the good work!
Thanks a bunch
The banana tee shirt is back.❤ mommy Rupp is so cute.
Thanks. Momma loves it.
This is what i called paradise, love durian so much!
Same. So amazing.
@@JasonRuppVlog oh my, i didn't expect for you to reply my comment in your "late" video 😆
I've been binge to watch your video since last night, visit Indonesia again if you have time! 💞
Thanks for the continuing travelogue. Fascinating!
Thanks back
Love your banana t shirt lol your such a cutie pie
Thanks back!!❤❤❤❤
Welcome to youtube, guy-taking-a-piss!
Ha ha.
I could hear that store door alert all the way here in Florida!😉
👌
Wow! Your Thai is so impressive. Grant has been there for how long and you interpreted for him! 😂😂😂 Triple props! 🙏
Grant knows good basic Thai language! He knows Thailand so well.
Interesting video. I’ve never heard of durian before. Are there different varieties? It’s so wonderful that you get to travel with you’re mom. Enjoy your time together .
Yes many varieties! Momma loves it
its nice to travel with mom. i wanna do it sometimes
I agree. I like to see her happy.
I was waiting to see you eat one
I could do that in another video. 👍
Like Johnny Cash. Jason sir. You have been everywhere 😁
Yes I guess so.
Truly enjoyed your video, your command of Thai language is pretty good. A bit funny that you cannot tell what kind of durian it is and just keep getting “Mong Thong” (Golden Pillow).
Thanks! Actually, Mongthong is my favorite, so I prefer it.
I also saw your vid from 2017 with Grant Campbell. I think this is a lovely place xD.
So cool you saw that one. Yeah this retreat is so cool. And I feel so healthy.
Yo Jason, which one is good for you, Indonesia or Thailand?
I love both:)
Still calls her Mommy; adorable. They look like giant sweet gum tree spike balls. Durian can be tough to find in west TX but I jump on it when I see it. Keeping the videos coming they are great to relax and watch.
You are also a durian lover!
Instead of taking an arrow to the knee. You took a Durian to the knee.
Yes!
Skyrim reference? 😂😂nice👍🏼
Mommy is uber cool Jason
Thanks :)
@Jason Rupp I have the chance to go to thailand through my studies in germany, should I go? Any recommended cities ?
Yes of course. Bangkok is so much fun.
Jason, you look healthy but Grant and the others look terrible. Still I look forward to the retreat. Your Vlogs are my go to.
Thanks. More vids coming.
Jason. How do you eat all that fruit and not have cramps and upset stomach?
Try it. It feels great. But eat the fruit on an empty stomach.
will you be heading to grant's retreat again this spring? I booked a month! Can't wait :)
I think I will! I love this retreat a lot. So glad you signed up.
Jason Rupp I’m so looking forward to it!! Hope to see you then and at Woodstock!
Super!!

👌
@@JasonRuppVlog anytime.... 😄
Im sure Grant & his people are healthy but it really looks like a few of them need a lot more protein and healthy fats. They almost look sickly. I also understand he long distance runs & they are usually very thin, but 😳
He has a runner's body really.
Jason,
Isn't there a fruit over there that they'll actually fine you for bringing into the hotels because of the smell?
Yes, it is the durian!
Hi Jason. Love watching your videos. If you don’t mind could I ask that how old you are?🙈
Thank you! I am 43.
For the sake of durian lovers all over the world, what is the name of the largest durian market in Chanthaburi? There are plenty of markets there after all.
Oh man now I need to try and look up the name. It has been a while.
@@JasonRuppVlog Any luck with that? I am in Chanthaburi right now.
I can get the map link for you, but it isn't really the main durian season, so it would not be so active. The main season is May/June/July. June is the peak.
How many did you buy
We eat like 10 a day lol
TEETH LOOK GREAT
👍👍
Where is the eating part ???
It's coming;)
I thought durian was only in the phillipines mainly in Davao. I know it stinks
I work with some Filipinos. They were just talking about durian fruit. They said it smells good from a distance, but the closer you get, it smells like rotting garbage, BUT, it tastes good. Somehow, I don't think I could get it past my nose.
Doris Hodge it’s banned on flights and in many public places cause of the smell.
60bath /kilogram not expensive 👍👍
Yeah priced right
How do you feel living in Asia coming from the West Side life in NYC? Oh there's your mom. That's nice.
I love in Asia a lot!
I can’t stand the smell of durian I refuse to eat it don’t want nobody to tell me to same goes for stinky tofu
I love both! Hi Grace. :)
@Jason Rupp are you single? If not, why don’t you put ur wifey in vlogs?
I will when she is with me. :)
Are you married?
