Vlog: How's it feel 2 WEEKS as a RAW VEGAN? Fruitarians at Chanthaburi Horticultural Research Center

- Today we start the video at beautiful Kung Wiman beach in Chanthaburi, Thailand. Then, to the diverse Chanthaburi Horticultural Research Center, where there is an abundance of fruit research happening. I'm here with my mother, who absolutely loves this retreat. The jungle in Thailand is absolutely beautiful.
At the Horticultural Research Center, the staff test various fruit, such as durian, mangosteen, snake fruit, mango, coconuts, longkong, lychees, mulberries, and their various strains. Since this is the peak of the fruit season, there was an absolute abundance of it, so staff were glad to share with us. There was so much fruit that was also just on the ground.
At the end of this travel vlog, my mom and I share how it felt doing a raw vegan diet for two weeks.
I am on a healthy fruitarian health and adventure retreat in Thailand. I hope you enjoy these Thailand travel vlogs.

Great video Jason Rupp. I love how everyone was sharing the fruit. Everyone except Smoil. Smoil was like a vulture! Hovering over the durian and he was always the first one to grab some. Loved the video, I have always been curious about raw vegan, not totally sure I could do it but the food looked tasty. Loved how you could try all the different fruits, Thai mangoes are the best in the world. Carla looks incredible and I'm really interested in the health aspect. Travelling all the time makes it difficult to stay healthy but you have inspired me to try a little harder. Thank you Jason! :)
I'm so glad this inspired to eat healthier. Small changes make big differences in our health. I know this kind of eating won't appeal to everyone.

It felt great. I felt so healthy and alive.
I don't understand the whole trend towards eating one type of food vs another. I hear every vegan say they are healthy, but just by the looks of the people with you, they clearly have some issues going on at some level..they don't LOOK healthy. It is not healthy to strict oneself to a certain eating style. Feeling healthy or going to get a checkup and leaving is not a pass on good health. After all a person with cancer feels fine, until they don't.
I'm sure this is fine in the short term, i'm might be good for the body for short term, some even have to restrict diet to certain foods because of digestive problems. But, if you really want to be healthier, do intermediate fasting. That is a PROVEN method.
Awesome video as always. Its not a slam on what you are doing Jason, just saying its what i know. Its healthy for sure, but is it enjoyable or healthy long term? nah. :)
It doesn't work for me long term either, but I respect those who are doing it long term. But everyone can accept that it is extremely healthy for a 2 week retreat. I totally agree that intermittent fasting is so valuable. It allows your body to digest all food and then focus on healing and rejuvenation. Thanks for commenting what you thought of the videos!

You would need to do a full blood test of each person on a regular basis and a study for a few years to get accurate data on each persons health versus the food they eat. A lot of the people on this video looked thin and close to ideal body weight so they are doing well on many levels. Only a blood test would truely tell what is going on inside ....
I ate my first star fruit in Honduras we were drinking beer out in the country on a deck built around a star fruit tree at this outside bar and we could reach up and pick them from our chairs.

I couldn’t live on just raw vegetables forever but I think intermittent is doable every once and a while like you said while you are on the retreat and temptation in the city life it’s impossible lol
I admire those who can keep it up. For the rest of us, doing it for 2 weeks is incredibly valuable. You feel so healthy and light.
How much did this retreat cost Jason including accommodation? I really NEED to experience this for myself and for a break to get away from horrible polluted unhealthy greater London.
If you only eat fruit for weeks I can imagine your brain starts tricking you to think a plant smells like fresh baked cookies!

Lol. Maybe so. But he runs ultra marathons like nobody else. Pretty incredible.
lol...That was probably near the end of the retreat when I get pretty tired. I don't usually get enough sleep looking after the needs of 20 people to keep the retreat running smoothly.

True. This was way at the end of the 2 week retreat. We were all pretty tired.
Probably not getting enough protein from fruit alone as he does look like he has a very low muscle mass.
Isn’t an excess of fruit too much sugar? Too much of a good thing? Still better than my diet! lol I use to sell and drink mangosteen years ago Many benefits! That I need to incorporate again!!! Cheers!
The idea is that if you solely eat fruit then your body can handle it well. But it is when you mix the fruits with a common diet is when you can run into those issues.
It's an unusual fruit. I like mangosteen.

@@JasonRuppVlog Usha is an Alkaline Vegan retreat that is for people that are trying to change their lives or be cured by disease. My girlfriend knows more about it but she's been there twice. It's a little pricey.
