I HAVE ONE OF HER ALBUMS IN MY RECORD COLLECTION AND I REMEMBER WATCHING THE SHOW THEN IT WAS GONE THEY ESPECIALLY HER DIDNT GET THE APPRECIATION FOR THEIR TALENT HER VOICE IS INCREDIBLE

My first encounter with Davis was when he did that's my mama with Ted Lange of Love boat....This was in the mid 1970s. However, Years later, in the early 1980s I read about his show with Melba Moore in dated back issues of both Right On & Rap magazine... Furthermore, in 1984, in a biography about Michael Jackson, I discovered he wrote both Never can say Goodbye & looking through the window for the J-5 ...I found out he did this before Clifton involvement with the sitcom AMEN with Sherman Hemsley of The Jefferson TV series game...Thank you

I remember them separately in live performances on Broadway. I was thrilled they were together on the summer show but nothing until now was discussed about their breakup until years later.
Melba didn't get enough credit for her acting & singing back then. Katt Williams had to sponsor her star on the walk of fame.
