Bottom Bouncing for Niagara River Steelhead & Brown Trout 2019
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 сер 2024
- Today I got to test out my New Raven RPX 11.6 Custom Rod. I liked the RPX line so much that I bought this one after previously using the Spiral Wrap Rod on my last outing. I just like how well it fights fish with the soft tip and strong backbone. Today I went 5 for 6 but I should've gone perfect if I wasn't trying to horse my fish in.
GEAR USED
Rod: Raven RPX 11'6 Custom
Reel: Shimano Stradic Ci4+
Main Line: 10lb Berkley Fireline Crystal
Leader Line: 10lb Flurocarbon
Bait: Berkley Minnow and Roe Bags

The one thing I hate about Niagara…it is one of the windiest places in Canada. If the west wind isn’t blowing out the river, the north wind is freezing your nards off
You’re the man, Pump. Showing those guys at the lower Niagara who’s boss. I think the one guy down from you that said to call when you have a fish on was getting pissed that you’re catching them and he’s not. I see you went back to the spinning reel, looked like a good day at both spots. 👍from the North.
Adrian
True North Angler haha, it’s all good...he was cool. I think that was my 3rd or 4th cast and hooked up right away. My second fish was caught on the third cast after then the bite slowed down for us so we moved spots. New spot, first fish was on my 3rd cast
Or he could be worried of getting lines crossed 🤔
@@brucele5096it’s etiquette down there to call your fish because when it’s busy generally you are casting over each other’s lines
Really good looking Browns,...nice fish
Carl Outside thanks man 👍
That's a GREAT day!!! Those browns were massive! Good job!
Orillia Fishing they get even bigger
You should do some videos explaining your centerpin drift setups and bottom bouncing rigs!
Muda98 I should. I’m too busy fishing most of the time and forget to do it
@@PUMPKNOWSFISHING you should do some tutorial videos , you are an expert
Jim J I’m no expert, I’m still figuring it out myself
PUMP KNOWS FISHING you are very modest my friend, did you add styrofoam in those roe bags?
Jim J I add styrofoam balls in my bags to keep them off the bottom but you fish without them as well. I do well either way
My favorite fishing channel because you from our city 😀
Bruce Le thanks man 👍
Congrats on the big brown. And I am so glad that you released it back to fight another day. Respect.
Brad Correa 👊👍
you are the master of bottom bouncing !!!
Crazy Steelheader not me, I’m still figuring it out
Nice... keep slayin' em
Actually Andrew Fishing 👍
I catch more fish down there bottom bouncing than I ever have on a float. Always the only one too.. couple snags here and there but worth the extra fish 💪🏼 Nice vid
When you got the bounce perfected it can be a fun day of fishing 👊👍
Is tht on the us side or Canada side
Nice Pump...
Corey Yourkin thanks man 👊👍
Nice fish Pump! Watch out for ticket when you are fishing on 2nd spot.
Isco Disco that’s if you fish behind the fence where they’re doing construction. Fishing on the bridge is fine.
Pump it up
Andrei Bogdan pump the jam 🎵

What’s your setup and how are you bouncing it? Are you reeling in and jerking hard or slight tip rises while it floats?
Hook And Reel Fishing bottom bouncing rig with a 3 way swivel to a 3/4 - 1 1/2 (depending on current) to a 1 foot to 3 foot leader to your bait of choice. You cast upstream and let the current take your bait down river. The key is to tick bottom, not drag or not feel bottom. The fish are all hugging close to the bottom and are waiting for food to pass by
Bro how you put Berkley Minnow on the hook through the nose or back, and what number of hooks you use.Ty
Through the nose and I was using a #6 hook
Bro which corky size did you use for Minnow, 8 or 10 mm, and also what is the sinker weight. Ty
What type of line, rod and reel do you use?
Brad Burnside all that info is in the description section of this video
PUMP KNOWS FISHING oh damn. Didn’t see that. Thanks man.
PUMP KNOWS FISHING how do you like that reel?
Brad Burnside so far so good. I’ve also been using it for ice fishing Lake simcoe
PUMP KNOWS FISHING nice! Do you back you’re reel with mono? I’m thinking of using crystal fire line but i can only find 125yrds, for my 3000 size reel
Alwaysssss slaying biggins. That's on the river. How do you get thereeeeee. Always curious
zoomzoomgt yea man, Niagara river
