For me gabriel martinelli is our BEST ATTACKING PLAYER..he fears no one..and was the most consistent player

Which “sitters” are you referring to in this clip? Jesus is under appreciated by “fans” like you who have zero football knowledge.
Odegaard is only able to score that many because of our system.
Jesus playing false 9, constantly interchanging position, dragging defenders away, meaning that Jesus is an AM/LW in the attacking phase. Therefore, the ST spaces can be occupied by Xhaka Odegaard Martinelli or Saka.
Zinchenko and White inverted into the CM position. Meaning that Odegaard and Xhaka can push further forward to become the AM/ST in the attacking phase.
Odegaard is assigned to take up those ST spaces constantly, left open by Jesus.
For example, look at the very moment Xhaka scored his first goal against Wolves. Jesus is occupying the RW spaces. Xhaka and Saka are occupying the ST spaces. For people who say that Jesus should start on the wing. It does not matter. Because he can start playing in one position, and then playing in another position on the pitch anyway.
This is the first year we play this possession, false 9, inverted fullback system.
No coincidence that Xhaka and Odegaard has performed well. Because this system will make your CMs looks great.
Ask yourself, why did Xhaka never performed like this in previous seasons. Why did odegaard never scored this many goals in the previous seasons? Because the current system allows them to become the ST.
If you replaced Jesus with a goal hanger, the ST spaces will not be available to Saka Martinelli Odegaard and Xhaka. The goal hanger might score more, but the team will score less in total.
Jesus is the key to maximise the total number of goals our team can score. He is the key to breakdown defence. To maximise the quality and quantity of possession and chance creation. To create many high quality chances that anyone can easily score.
If you are a striker, and your boss instructs you that, in the attacking phase, you have to keep staying outside the box, occupying the AM spaces, dragging defenders away. For your teammate (a CM) to become the actual ST on the pitch. And your teammate scored a lot of goals.
And I compare your stats to another striker, whom his boss instructed him to always stay in the box, waiting for chances, doing nothing else.
Is that a fair comparison?
I’m not saying odegaard is a bad player at all. I’m just saying a lot of the praise that Odegaard gets, and a lot of the criticism that Jesus gets, are actually exaggerated. Because those outdated fans don’t understand our system and how modern football is played.
If in 2023, people are still using stats to underrate Firmino, Jesus, and the younger Benzema, saying that they don’t score enough comparing to other strikers, those people don’t know much about football.
Goals win you games. But it’s not about how many goals your striker can score. It’s about how many goals your TEAM can score in total.
We scored 88 league goals this season with this system (City scored 94). Don’t forget that Jesus and Saliba were injured in between, so it could have been more. Jesus is a big reason we scored this many. He doesn’t necessarily need to score at all.
Even at the last period of the season, we lost some points, we didn’t lost the firepower to score, we were just leaking goals at the back.
The only time we lost some fire power and finding it tough to win games despite having a healthy back line, is when Jesus was injured. Martinelli Xhaka and Odegaard goals started to dry up because of this. The only goal scorer became Nketiah, and sometimes Saka with individual brilliance.
We don’t have a scoring problem, so Jesus is definitely not a problem.
Jesus is perfect for us. He is world class in what he is doing. A healthy Jesus is what we needed. Although I don’t mind a Plan B to bring on a physical striker at the 70mins. As long as that physical striker is also very technical, and not a goal hanger, who will always help in passing, being able to dribble. Players like Hojlund or Schick.
Be careful what you wish for gabby s the best 9 we have had since rvp it’s not your fault it was arteta that raised the level of ths team sure you would have been hiding when this team languished in 8th position Gabriel Jesus raised the level of this squad

1 - sitter against Chelsea at Stamford bridge....cross put in by martinelli in 1st half (we won that game only 1-0..shows how big a miss that would have been)
2 - 4 sitters against s.hampton ..he basically singlehadedly helped Southampton that game at EMIRATES...(the 3-3 draw was a major setback for us)
3 - A tap in at farpost at Anfield when saka put in a great cross....
And many more examples are there
4 - Gabriel jesus before injury..WENT ON A BARREN RUN ( 0 GOALS IN 10 GAMES IN ALL COMPS)
5 - HAD THE WORST XG IN PL by any striker till April..BIGGEST UNDERPERFORMANCE in entire pl
( worst xg among top 6 club strikers)
IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH A STRIKER WHO MISSES A LOT..and scores 0 goals in 9 to 10 matches...YOU ARE DUMB
(ALEXANDER ISAK had more goals than jesus in less duration...even though he has no experience in pl)

@@VerdeViteza11 Na I'll say Troussard is more like Alex Hleb.. Very crafty shifty wingers/attackers. Cazorla was a CM player. And a very unique one.. I'll say Odergaard will be more like cazorla with his dribbling and ability to get out of tight spaces. Only difference is cazorla was 2 footed..

How people watch players like martinelli and odegaard and saka etc, then say Arsenal would struggle next season because chelsea and united and liverpool will be back. Not realizing that these players have great combination already and are getting better and are so young. 😅

I love how he’s improved so much, if we feed the ball to the LW as much as we do to the RW, he would have produced more goals and assists, that’s something Arteta should work on, there’s been times in matches when the LW was not getting enough of the ball, there should be good distribution to both wings which will definitely increase the number of outputs, for me personally Martinelli is my player of the season..... I believe that will change with Xhakas replacement... Xhaka was immense... But we needed someone to wriggle through those right spaces on the left the way Odegaard does on the right... If we can get that... Martinelli will explode...

Let's be honest we know Rashford has been good but see what Martinelli is doing. He doesn't always just run in a straight line. This guy would literally go into midfield and dribble people, he's unlucky to have not scored more than he has and the goals were shared. If Martinelli can continue like this and add more goals for a winger lol. Rashford was uniteds main man anyway but come onnnnn.
