      Debs Treasurez me too! I don’t mind the faded picture, makes it look more vintage. I was certainly happy with it and a necklace my daughter claimed! I was happy about that.

    What a GREAT collection of odds and ends.....so many possibilities which brings me to the question, if you decide to replace a lost stone, can it be done with resin and without a mold? I have a couple of wedding band rings that have real diamonds but are missing 2 very small rectangular rubies. I would like to figure out a way to replace the rubies w/o having to pay a jeweler. I think you have a real gold mine of ideas and materials in your jar!!! Thank you for sharing this with us!😊💎💗

    Holy cow, this bag has so much awesome jewelry. My favorite is the large multi-colored pearl necklace. For some reason I am always partial to pearls. The Freirich bracelet is beautiful, and I really like the large vintage sash pin with leaves and of course the clear rhinestone necklace. Love the lucite bubble necklace. There are a lot of beautiful contemporary pieces as well. I like the blue stretch bracelet and the ivory and clear rhinestone necklace with the dangle. The stones on the green sterling earrings may be adventurine. Good score again.

    • @PrincessCasserole
      @PrincessCasserole  6 років тому

      Vampy Vintage yes I was thinking adventurine or serpentine for those earrings too. I normally don’t love pearls but I love the colors in that necklace. I was thinking that leaf pin might be a sash pin. I’m glad you like the huge bubble Lucite necklace. I love it! Thanks for watching!

    From the web: "FREIRICH
    Freirich was a French costume jewelry, button, and accesory company that was begun by Solomon Freirich in the 1920s after he bought Maison David, a hats, dress ornament and accesory maker. In the USA, the company is called Freirich; in France it is called Maison David (David's House). Freirich also produced buttons for many fashion designers, including Chanel and Dior. The company's increased its costume jewelry production in 1955, when Solomon Freirich's son, Arthur Freirich, joined the firm. The 'FREIRICH' mark was first used on costume jewelry in the 1960s (Freirich jewelry produced before then is unmarked). Freirich jewelry is often Victorian in style, with enamel work, delicate filigrees, glass stones, and metal stamping that emulates granulation. Freirich went out of business in 1990."

    • @PrincessCasserole
      @PrincessCasserole  6 років тому

      That's so cool. This is certain in the delicate filigrees category. But boy is it annoying to keep them in that little ball shape. But they do look Victorian in style so worth it I guess lol.

    The screw back waterfall earrings at 24:34 look like they have milk glass stones . Or, are they plastic? Nice vintage earrings. That black and green glass necklace is GORGEOUS. The Napier necklace is post-1992.

    • @PrincessCasserole
      @PrincessCasserole  6 років тому

      Yes, milk glass. They're very pretty. I'm glad you liked that black and green necklace. I think it's one of those things that's going to look great on and get lots of complements, but I can see people just throwing it to the side in the thrift stores because it doesn't look as special in a pile on their table.

    What is the best way to sterilize pierced earrings before wearing them? Thanks. Love the videos. You find such nice gems.

    • @PrincessCasserole
      @PrincessCasserole  6 років тому +1

      Cathy Leone hello! Thank you! Personally I usually wash with soap and water and a tooth brush first. Then I rub and soak in rubbing alcohol. Depending on what material the earrings are made of I may soak the whole thing. You can also buy just new backs for earrings as I do have some bags of earring backs too, but if gold backs I soak for a while after cleaning in rubbing alcohol. You can probably boil then depending on material but I’ve never done that before. Or if you’re getting a new piercing at a tattoo shop they’ll put them in an autoclave to sterilize.
