Happy New Year John. Go with your heart my friend.. I just learned an amazing new, to me, way of starting up my wood stove. Never thought of using a pile of wood shavings as the base but it makes perfect sense. Lots of air flow and tons of surface area throughout the mass of it. Coupled with the paper on top to flash up the draft and you're ready to go.

The content is always more important to me than the quality. As long as I can see what you're doing and how you do it, that's good enough. I don't need all the bells and whistles. Still, I'm glad you have a passion for your productions. Have a blessed New Year John.
I would say that the content is what defines quality and being more intentional in that content improves the quality, I certainly didn't mean to imply that bells and whistles would be the direction I was headed in.

The rest will come into place, and I'm sure you'll find that by year's end you'll be that much better at making the videos you want, quicker, and you wind up pouring out a lot of content again anyway by rote.

I for one would enjoy some more advanced projects. If that means less overall content, I’m all for it.
I know you cater the beginner crowd, and that is perfectly fine. You’re probably responsible for introducing more new smiths to the craft (myself included) than any other UA-camr.
Perhaps some content catered towards us intermediate folks who you taught to make hooks and hammers all those years ago? I’ve been watching your videos since you had the bull hammer, would really enjoy some more complex work!
I do hope for more advanced or at least intermediate content on blacksmithing. Interestingly, I never meant to cater to any specific group, it just turned out thats where the most interest was.
