Theon's story arc was my favorite of the whole series. He went out with his honor in tact. Lyanna Mormont went out like the boss she was. I absolutely enjoyed this episode. Only 3 left!
Theon needed to buy as much time for Bran. It made no sense to run towards the Night King. Why not just wait till he corners you? He does walk at about 2 steps per minute afterall, as all villians must before their 11th hour demise.
The music in this episode was just ridiculously good. It almost reminded me of the kind of music in old silent films, where it carried SO much of the weight of conveying the emotional tone.
I honestly should have mentioned how much I admired the strength and despair the music was carrying. It was a powerful presence, especially in the latter half of the episode.
When this first aired...I was weaping, absolutely weaping from Theon's last scenes protecting Bran. 😭😭😭 Sometimes on a rewatch...I still cry. Alfie deserves all the accolades, he displayed such real, raw, arrogant, broken, scared, humbled, redeemed emotions throughout the entire series. Amazing!!!! Then his next character kills a dog...a doggo owned by the Baba Yaga.😉😄
There were some great acting performances on this show, but I really think Alfie Allen was the MVP for all eight seasons. He had some scenes where he put the emotional weight of the entire plot on his back and carried it through to the next episode like a fuckin' quarterback.
I cried the entirety of this episode, my anxiety was so bad. I get it. I knew u were in trouble when you said you had plans afterwards. Great reaction! We all felt it. :)
What I love the most about Theon's arc is that ever since he was abducted by Ramsey he's never been able to look anyone threatening in the eye, until the Knight King. I felt like that completed his arc.
I love your reactions. I love your demeanor and how soft-spoken you are. You have a very chill vibe. It's really appealing. If you haven't already, I'd like to suggest that you react to "Beef" and "The Bear"
The prophecies of Melisandre and her claims of wielding magic were supported by the large ruby necklace that glimmered whenever she would tap into these powers. Melisandre's necklace was actually enchanted and hid her identity as an aging woman, giving her the power of youth. In season 6, Melisandre took off the necklace before going to bed. The beautiful woman instantly transformed into her true form as a frail elderly figure without the enchanted necklace. The moment, however, pointed to a plot hole from season 4 when Melisandre took a bath in the episode titled "Mockingbird." In Dragonstone, the Red Woman was shown without her necklace, yet still in her young form. Apart from raising questions about how old Melisandre was in Game of Thrones, this showed a moment where she didn't need the necklace to maintain appearances. The necklace was meant to hide the Red Woman Game of Thrones character's age while also prolonging her life through magic. Without it, her identity as an old woman should have been revealed. Melisandre clearly had magical powers, and some viewers thought that Melisandre's necklace only worked on certain people. Selyse Baratheon was one of Melisandre's most devoted followers, and the theory suggested that she always saw the Red Woman's true form, even when she wore the necklace. Faith could have been a factor, and since Selyse was a believer in Melisandre and her religion, the Red Priestess wouldn't have needed to wear the necklace in the season 4 scene. This would have explained why Selyse asked Melisandre if she needed potions to convince Stannis to sleep with her, as if her appearance was a factor. Aside from Game of Thrones season 4, Melisandre continued wearing the necklace for the duration of the series. Worship of the Lord of Light was uncommon throughout Westeros, which was why it was necessary to wear the necklace and conceal her real identity. After encouraging Arya to target the Night King during the Battle of Winterfell, Melisandre fulfilled her purpose and embraced death. Melisandre's necklace was no longer necessary, so she took it off, leaving behind the Lord of Light's power in retaining her youth, and turned into dust. Now the origin of the necklace and how it came into being was not revealed. Melisandre was said to be much older than the events of the House of the Dragon although her real age was never revealed according to her Wiki she was born 100 years before Aegon's Conquest. There are also discussions on whether or not she is tied to Aegon's dream the song of Ice and Fire. There were also discussions on whether or not if her character would make an appearance in House of the Dragon but that may never be fulfilled.
Back during the seasons, there were rumors about the crypt and tunnels under Winterfell. Some thought that the Heros of Winterfell would rise supernaturally and save the castle. Others said since the Winterking could control the dead, he would control them and use them against Winterfell. As it was, the writers just tossed the whole concept out.
I love how hopeless it is, when you have to wonder “am I going to end this show having to hope Cersei wins the throne over the Night King? Or should I actually just hope for the Night King to defeat her?” 😂
Dude I did sub at the start but I could see you was not into the show as much as I was. I have to say it was nice watching your reaction to this amazing episode. Good luck with your channel good man.
So I'm thinking guys to celebrate the end of game of thrones and hopefully at the beginning of his journey into House of the dragons maybe I should start a petition to get teaturtle to sponsor him, he rocks so many of their shirts as do I and I feel like my favorite reactor representing them needs to get a sponsorship deal. So you know we can also get a discount code cuz these clothes are adorable. They also have lil plushies and s*** like that
Omg perfect timing! 🥰 just got settled into bed and finished the last episode when i refreshed the page abd found this!! Dont you just love it when that happens 🥲
Just so you know, no Jon can't walk through fire, he can be burned and has no tolerance to fire like Dany does. That was confirmed when Jon burnt his hand by throwing a hot, lit up lantern 🔥 at a Wight, to kill it & save his Lord commander Mormont, at the same time. Also, remember the Night king can't raise everybody back up again, only those who have died. Anything or anyone that was destroyed with dragon glass or Valerian steel would be dead & won't be risen from the dead. Not sure why u thought the red woman was a Wight all of a sudden lol, Mellisandre simply did her job, her purpose was complete.
I wonder if Bran ended up warging in Viserion and he is the one who kept 'blocking' Jon (but not killing him) from trying to get to The Godswood to kill the Night King? Because Bran comes back as soon as the Night King & his Generals are walking that way. Just my thoughts. Plus Bran knows Arya is on the way.
Most anxiety I've ever had was watching this episode.. the release of emotions after was all.tears.. it was crazy. 2 hours full movie of straight anxiety
I loved how it was Arya who took the Night King out. It made her evolve to an assassin make sense & gave a proper end to her arc (even though her story does not end here). For me, it made sense. I don't know if that was the author's idea or the showrunners, but either way it made sense & fitted to the story line. It lined up all the way to season one, where the dagger that she killed him with made its first appearance, and how she started learning how to move silently as a cat in the 1st season also. In away, everything makes sense now: Ned needed to die in order for her to seek the revenge, she needed to get captured so that she would meet Jagen, who would train him, and she needed to spend time with the Hound so that she would learn to be ruthless.
Pretty sure the Red Woman said she wouldn't live out the night either. Like Baldric(?), she had served her purpose. I laughed when you were like, why did they save Arya? 😂. I cheered too when she killed the Night King; actually, my family and i sounded like our team had won the super bowl.
We were screaming too!😄 First we were crying and anxious with Theon, then holding our breath when Arya flies out like a tiny, stealth ninja, then her cool knife maneuver...we roared in TRIUMPH!!!🎉😄😂
Jon isn’t fire proof only Targaryen that can Danny because she did blood magic spell so her dragons could be born, when dragons flew towards the White Walkers they created a storm that stopped the ability to see for dragons and humans and the storm stopped the dragon fire from reaching the ground 😂😂😂😂😂
The music was great, but I had to up the brightness on my tv to its highest and I still couldn’t see half of what was going on. Also the show had been building to this fight for 8 season and that it took just one show and that a thousand year old Night King was outplayed by Arya was disappointing. Lastly hiding people in a place full of the dead when they know the dead can be raised was pure idiocy.
IYO, what would have been an acceptable/better* way to defeat the Night King instead of Arya? People do stupid things and make idiotic mistakes in real life, so I can get behind the "hiding people where the dead are" oversight by the characters, for the sake of entertainment.

Beric my man also went out like a boss . and House Mormont is no more , but there they stood till the end
And you could tell Theon had no fear. There was nothing left for him to be afraid of after Ramsay.
Theon needed to buy as much time for Bran. It made no sense to run towards the Night King. Why not just wait till he corners you? He does walk at about 2 steps per minute afterall, as all villians must before their 11th hour demise.

"I'm going to throw up" . That's also how I felt the whole episode , Tavare🤣🤗
The last time I felt like that was on a very intense episode of The Walking Dead.
"Are they sending a full-on blizzard at them?"
The dead don't AWAIT the storm. They BRING the storm
Oooh.. The long night, long awaited for sure! 🔥 The best episode of the season.
It would be better if you could see the episode.
Absolute garbage

Omg when Drogon wraps his tail around Jorah and Dany I can’t hold it in anymore
The north remembers
Awesome job on this episode! I could feel your intensity.
I absolutely love the music from this episode 💕
Completely agree! The piano piece is exquisite! 🎶💗🎶
I love your reactions. I love your demeanor and how soft-spoken you are. You have a very chill vibe. It's really appealing. If you haven't already, I'd like to suggest that you react to "Beef" and "The Bear"
Loveed your reaction!! Thanks for making me smile 😊
My pleasure 😊 and thanks to you for being here!

Tldr she took of her necklace and died because she became her true age since the night king died.

"I'm gonna throw up" all episode I was like that too due to be nervous but... others are another type of nauseous
It has Arrived!
I'm not sure why people get confused about Melisandre. She was very obviously a Red Priestess kept alive with the necklace. It's just that simple
i cried with theon and jorah 😩😔 theon was one of my favorites
I hate I've been absent for a bit, but I'm binging and catching up with you tonight. See you when this episode is over ...

this is a good one but nobody really likes it :(
I think that visually and emotionally it's incredible, and honestly wish more people would give its strong aspects kudos

The story is just very problematic. Episode still looks amazing, though
@@stephaniegodin2167True. Night King is like 8,000 years old, though, which makes it worse
IYO, what would have been an acceptable/better* way to defeat the Night King instead of Arya?

you are overcritical because you were told to dislike this season
Jon is not immune to fire.
