I have watched this video many many times and I LOVE it! The first time I made the cookies they were so easy to put together! Anna does an outstanding job teaching us how to bake. This is the BEST recipe as well as the perfect recipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much. I’m making a dessert that requires lady fingers, but I couldn’t find any pre made. None of the recipes I found mentioned cornstarch. This seems like the best tutorial.
I love your style of teaching, so " classy " and also it's easy to understand, .... Best of all, I have confidence in your recipes, there is no need to look further for any other recipes from somewhere else. Thanks for sharing.
I love your recipes, soooo delicious 😋 I really wish you would also share the information about your oven 🙏 I’m very grateful to you for sharing your expertise
Dear Anna, thank you so much for all your wonderful recipes and I especially appreciate that you do give us written recipe below that is amazing! Thanks again and a very warm greetings , Anna from the Gold Coast , Australia :-)
You use a deck oven in your baking, and I thought that was only good for pizzas and breads but not pastry, especially delicate pastry. What kind of oven is best for making cakes, flans, and other delicate pastries like lady fingers?
Hi there I am following you for couple years now and I am enjoying the videos you are making. They are so easy effortless to follow and I am a big fan. However, I did watch this over and over to see when the Cream of Tartar was added and I couldn't see when did you added to the batter! Could it be added with dried ingredients or with the eggs during whipping? Thank you. PS: Is there a version in Grams for this recipe :) Tack (In Swedish means thanks)
Maher Al Jannan you’re welcome! Cream of tartar is used to whip the egg whites fully and keep them stable, if you can’t find cream of tartar in Sweden then you can use the same quantity of plain white vinegar, that’ll do the trick as well. :)
By mixer do you a mean stand mixer? I have one but my whip broke the other day. I do have a hand mixer that does have a single whip attachment. Can I ask what went wrong? I just saw this video and the one she has for the raspberry lemon mousse torte where she uses her ladyfinger recipe. I have everything to make both but if using a hand mixer is what you used and failed I don't want to risk losing all of those ingredients. Thanks!
As much as I love Anna Olson, I am frustrated with the editors and the people who write out the recipe instructions. Yet again there is an error! In the recipe it stated to add 1/4 tsp of Cream of tartar yet NOWHERE in the video is it ever mentioned or shown being added to the batter. Is it not need then??
So happy to discover Chef Olsen--no nonsense, super-smart, and all the right tips and tricks--aren't we lucky?
We are indeed, specially in this time.

Hi Anna, I saw on your twix video you tempered the chocolate. Here you have just melted it. What advantage does one method give over the other?
Hey and thanks for the video and the tips, as always, very informative. However, my question is, why the corn starch? Any significance?
I want to know too! I haven't seen other recipes use it.
@@elo5193 It is strange, they did not reply when I posted the question last year! So I guess we will never know!
Is it fine to exclude the cream of tarter?
Thank you so much amazing!
So are lady fingers supposed to be a hard cookie or a soft cookie?
Can I use a potato starch in place of corn starch?

What about the powdered sugar right before they go into the oven?????

How many tablespoons or cups if I use cake flour instead of flour and cornstatch?
Hi,
Greetings,
Can you suggest egg replacement in this recipe please.

Can i make them without cornstarch because I don't have it?

Can I make without egg
its easy but what can be used as a substitute for tartar..
blue flower vinegar
Mona Eid no I meant I was referring to blue flower, vinegar is a substitute xD
Illumi Nati thank you .One more question what should be the quantity of the vinegar??
blue flower from what I know, its the same. Vinegar is as concentrated as cream of tartar
Can you please tell me the quality of vinegar? Same as cream of tartar or less???
👌
Thank you. Ill be trying your recipe but instead of egg ill be using aquafaba because I am vegan I am sure it will come out just as delish
I have a request to make a soufflé
can we make ladysfinger without piping bag???
My smell eggs , I even put some vanilla but did not get rid eggy smell.
Im the person who would dip the whole thing in the chocolate. Maybe, half white, half dark?
Only try these if you have a mixer. I failed without it.
By mixer do you a mean stand mixer? I have one but my whip broke the other day. I do have a hand mixer that does have a single whip attachment. Can I ask what went wrong? My lady fingers taste awesome but they are to thin and spread way to much
that's way too much sugar!!! can splenda be used instead?
Where is professional Baker... Why it's written in title. If there is no professional Baker in the video
She is a professional baker, you´re just too egocentric to appreciate it.
