@@seedandsparrowhomestead Thank you, how sweet of you. I forgot to mention that I really like your chalkboard message. I wasn’t recalling those specific words to the song so I did some research. What a beautiful reminder and so pertinent to today! Tomorrow we have a reunion breakfast with folks from a church we attended years ago. Along with the entire song, I will be adding the story of how it came to be to my Christmas Card. Your video today has been a blessing and a joy to me in multiple ways. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you as well!
Oh I’m so glad! Aren’t they beautiful words? I love leaving reminders like this around the home. I hope you have a lovely breakfast and sweet fellowship ☺️
Thank you so much! How true! I'd much rather have natural and homemade over store bought and plastic any day. Thanks for watching and Greetings from PA USA!
I have never seen anything in all my life more warming and loving than a family making homemade Christmas.. this is by far the best of all the Christmas I ever seen decorated.. I would take these Christmas decorations over any of the ones in the stores.. you got it right Mom keep doing this and your kids will grow up to know and appreciate what they got ...not trying to out do everybody and trying to get name brand stuff .. like most people do ..homemade is better..
Your sense of decorating is rich, earthy, and elegantly simple. This video makes all of the other "DIY's" look garish and gawdy. A well done video, the pace of it, the soft music, the movement of the camera, and the close ups.
This was just so delightfully relaxing and a sweet “recap” of a day in your life this Christmas season.🥰 Thank you for sharing it with us, and Merry Christmas to your beautiful family❣️
I miss true, old fashion Christmas. Where you didn't get asked what do you want for Christmas or list you had to buy people stuff. What happened to making or something for a home. Your Christmas tree skirts is beautiful
After the past few years, especially working in retail, I crave the old-fashioned ways. Less stuff, less pressure, less have-to's... I'm already tired from just the first half of this year. The second half I'm going to work on slowing down and decluttering so I don't crash and burn for Christmas... like I do every year. lol
I just saw the true spirit of Christmas. Jesus is the one celebrated...the simplicity, harmony and naturalness of the decorations makes it feel genuinely "Christmas" Blessed God is always in your home, with your family and in your heart!
When my littles were excited early about Christmas I’d put an artificial tree in our piano room study and they made all their own ornaments. Under the tree was a hand made Afghan wrapped around then a ….doll table with chairs for their favorite doll or teddy bear. A little tea set held different treats for Santa….Wrapped candies and cookies.we had many pine cone people and animals from nuts. The kids would sit about the room and make cards for the elderly home they sang carols at while they listened to a story on tape ( dates me )each nite. Popcorn garlands and hand cut snowflakes everywhere. Glass jars filled with dough art cookies and many small candy canes in a Do A Good Jar…one candy cane each day for a good act they did…..wrote what they did on a little paper star to replace the candy cane…. I miss those days…cherish yours.❤❤
When I finally ,get my own place . I want to do everything your doing for your Christmas. Everything is Absolutely so Gorgeous, warms my heart remember the good old times of a true Christmas with my mom
I just came across your Ch! Everything is just so lovely! ❤️...I'm a new stay at home grandmother, keeping my 3 grandchildren, ages 2 months to 7 years old... I quit my job in the medical field last February to keep them so they wouldnt have to go to daycare...and I love it immensely! ❤️ Could I ask for your Walls of Jericho recipe? It looks delicious, sorry if I missed it if you've already posted! Merry ChrisTmas!❤️🎄❤️✝️
That is so kind, thank you! Wow! Those Grandbabies are SO blessed to have you!!! I think that is incredible 🤍 The recipe is listed in the description of “Caring for the Home” ☺️ Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄
WOW! you are so talented with making those decorations thanks for the great ideas and it was so cute when you turned on the Christmas lights for the little one. It was a glorious moment You are indeed a wonderful homemaker BRAVO!! lovely video thank you!! 🥰💖💯💫Christmas Blessings to you and family watching from Canada
I enjoyed your simple & serene decor. Very calming & tranquil. I've watched some that were way over the top filling every square inch of space. Almost stressful for me. Thank you for sharing your lovely home & I could smell that pie all the way down here in Central America!
Loved the video ,blooper made me laugh.Your ending was great ,and made realize how many of us know meaning of Christmas and the simple but beautiful decorations.
Hi I’m new to the channel and I want to let you know you did an amazing job with an old fashioned Christmas. Love it! Love slow living as well. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed weekend darlings ♥️♥️♥️🙏🏽
Thank you for sharing your Christmas. Its always nice to see neat ideas! Under your links the Twinkle Lights is the same link for the Bottle Brush Trees.
I know I am late to this video, but I love all thing’s Christmas. Except the mall. Hate the mall. I live on this old one acre homestead all by myself, and I Christmas this place up for myself every year. Homemade is my very favourite. Your style is just beautiful ❤
Hi:) Is there any way to get the name of the album for the piano/harp music that was played for this vlog, please? I’m a new subscriber and just found this vlog today! I’ve watched it 5 times already and am in love with the calm visuals and soothing music. Your children are adorable! Your youngest reminds me of my 18 year old son when he was a toddler. (He’s my last one still at home and will be graduating from high school in a few months.) I must admit I teared up a bit missing those magical years! He’s a wonderful young man but you just can’t get the innocent wonder back. I do so hope you are cherishing this time with your precious children. It goes so fast.❤️🎄
Hi there! Let me see if I can find the names of the songs I used. I will warn you though, I used songs through a subscription service so I'm not sure they can be found outside of there, won't hurt to try! Aw thank you so much! These years really are magical! I'm already seeing how fast it truly does go, I blink and they grow an inch😭. I'm cherishing these moments for sure! These little ones have taught me so much and make me slow down and enjoy the simple things. Let me go hunt those songs down😊
Here are the song titles! "For Jack" by Arden Forest, "Uncertain Changes" by Yonder Dale, "La Filles Sans Larmes" by Lo Mimieux, " O come O come Emmanuel", by Half Giant.
Everything is so beautiful! Could I ask did you make the sign at the end of the video with the words from "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" or did you purchase it somewhere? I love it!
Hey thanks! It was leftover bittersweet from my Fall decor, it grows wild at my parents. In the fall it has an orange papery shell which ends up eventually drying up and falling off leaving these orangey red berries, perfect for Christmas 😁
This is so beautiful and simplistic, fashionable and economical. I don't celebrate such holidays, however I appreciate the beauty in them for the time love and caring patience put into them. New sub to your channel as I adore all things homemade. Natural is the new trend.
Oh my word! How long did it take you to string all that popcorn and cranberries??? I've tried in the past, and it takes FOREVER. I love the smell of fresh greens (who doesn't?), but they just dry out so quickly. Will you mist yours frequently?
Approximately 11 million years 😂 so I actually ended up purchasing some artificial garland this year, because of that problem! We have coal heat and it’s sooo dry. By Christmas the garland was nearly bald 😂
As a mother and a Grammy, the joy and delight of your children when you turned on the tree lights, warmed my heart. Thank you for sharing.
Oh thank you! The joy they find in simple things reminds me to do the same. Merry Christmas to you, I hope it’s filled with joy 🤍

My husband is outside now, building a nativity now! Using yours as a pattern ❤️
My dad built that Nativity! It’s very special to me 🤍 That hubby sounds like a keeper 😉 I hope you have a blessed Christmas!
I love you ‘edible’ mantle garland! and after Christmas the birds can eat it all 😄
I was thinking of that! I have a ton of birds where I live. I may do that this year for Christmas. 😍
Чудесные сердце, руки и душа матери. Мирного неба над головой! Москва.

Beautiful. If only real trees lasted longer. I gave up on them as they dedicate in a week in my warm house.
Thank you! Ours survived 4 months believe it or not! LOL we were shocked. It went out to our deck in January but lasted until Spring!
I love this. May I suggest using logs under your tree rather than a skirt? I use stacked logs under my nature tree and always get so many compliments.
Thank you! Oh what a awesome idea!! If I can get my hands on some I may give that a try, I’m sure it looks lovely 🤍🤍🤍
