    Omg, I'm doing a big filming project at work and forgot to press the slow-motion option on my blackmagic camera. This helped me soooo much, honestly a HUGE lifesaver!

  • @Hair2U
    @Hair2U 6 років тому +254

    Isn't it better to film the video at 60 fps, and then interpret that footage in 24 fps, resulting in "natural" 40% slow motion?

    • @LMFAO5001
      @LMFAO5001 6 років тому +7

      yeah but i think this is 30% speed which means it's 70% slower than normal speed

    • @ClaudioAguileraMunoz
      @ClaudioAguileraMunoz 6 років тому +8

      40% is very little, here it is 70% slow motion, so it's a considerable difference

    • @Torbulous
      @Torbulous 5 років тому +16

      It's definitely always better to do that, but sometimes you just might not have another option. For me personally, I'd like to maintain 60 FPS so this will help me slow down my 60 FPS footage and maintain 60.

    • @davidsaso1234
      @davidsaso1234 5 років тому +5

      What if you do that and THEN do what is shown in the video. Not by 30% of course because it's already slowed down by the previous process but by a setting that would get you close to the original 30% speed

    From my angle, working in a so called "shark tank industry" and being self taught especially on the video editing side, and as simple as they seem to be taught, such 101's classics are kept like secret weapons from colleagues fearing competition; yet all it took was one concise, genuine and straight forward tutorial like yours, that within 5 mins elevated my game.
    Watch out red fishies, I'm coming for y'all.
    Thanks a lot Kyler you're great at what you do!!!

    No matter what I do, playback or exported file is always choppy. Even when Optical Flow is selected. Trying to go from 60 to 30 or 24. What I noticed going from frame to frame (and it has 60 frames in 1 second), that nothing new is added to intermediate frames. It just cuts 5 frames out of sequence and when I arrow left or right, each frame in between frames is absolutely the same.
