Hello Bro. I have 2 questions to ask 1. If I subscribe to the CORE $16 will this allow me to create more than 3 sites and also launch them live I will have to register for the site plan TO GO LIVE 2. Secondly let's assume I subscribe for one month and I was able to create 5 websites, will I be able to launch all the sites, and also after a month will the site stop working after a month
1. Yeah, the workspace plan allows you to create 3 unhosted websites (websites that are not live, just on your Webflow dashboard)... You only need site plan when you want to take any of the sites live. The moment you take a site live by buying a site plan, it no longer counts in your workspace... So you can have 3 live sites on your Webflow and be on the default free Workspace plan
Yes Vivaliy, once you purchase any of the site plans, you can export your site code. It comes well organized but does not include all dynamic features i.e posts or e-commerce sections will not work. only exports the HTML/CSS/js of your site.
@@EfeAsika So if I understand this right you can create a website on webflow and export it to shopify for example by buying only a site plan and not a workspace plan? and why does it say that workspace gives you "code export"? Will the buttons work the same? and all the moving or dynamics work the same?
Hi I have a specific requirement but now sure which plan to go with. I want to work on 2 site (Site A & Site B) on the same workspace. I want my colleague to work on my workspace but I don't want to share my credentials with him. I want to invite him to my workspace so the he can only design the sites and not be able to delete or create new sites. Please help me.
Hi Aravind, the FREELANCER workspace plan seems like your best bet. goto the pricing page (webflow.grsm.io/freelancer-plan) and scroll down to Workspace plans, and select the Freelancer & agency plans tab. It cost $16/Month, and you can share access with your colleague... without a password, you just need his Email address. I can make a video for this if you still can't get up an running; just let me know.
A seat is simply a user account that can manage/edit projects in your workspace... the starter Workspace Plan has one seat which means you and only you can create/edit projects on the plan, if someone else wanted to create/edit a project, they would need to log in with your details.. which means only one person has access at a time. When you opt-in for the Workspace core plan, it grants you 3 seats which means 3 webflow user accounts can create/edit projects in that workspace.. so you can all work together on the same project at the same time, just 3 of you... I just wish Webflow would change the word from seat to Teammate, makes more sense and less confusion.
@@James_m7 Yeah. Apparently. if you want to save some money you can just have all team members share accounts, in most cases they wouldn't be working at the same time anyways... so 3 accounts being shared by 4 people is very possible. But for ease, getting an extra seat would work great.
@@EfeAsika Thanks, but when I just tried to upgrade from FREE plan to the CORE plan, it only checked 1 seat - when I increased the number of seats to 3, the prices increased $456 USD (annually). So it seems like you only get 1 seat for the $19/month and pay extra for each seat. Might as well just for for the regular $16 CMS plan instead of the Workspace CORE plan..
Everytime I try to upgrade to the basic plan, it doesnt let me finish the transaction because my VAT number is Invalid, is anyone having the same issue? this is driving me nuts...
The sad part is, Webflow is proprietary software, not open source so you cant host it outside their infrastructure. Do a google search of Oxygen Builder though, an awesome WordPress alternative to Webflow.
Do I need to buy a workspace so I can use a template I bought in the template store? In the description says that Note: "You will also need a workspace plan to export the code."
Hi Jules, by default you are on a Workspace plan when you create an account, the free tier that allows you to host 3 unexportable sites... If you want to export a site, you need a SITE PLAN..
Hi Chidera, you can think of site plans as hosting + custom domain access and Workspace plans as being allowed to create unhosted projects... Workspace doesn't allow code export, except you add a site plan to the project you want to export the code from.
if you have a godaddy domain, you don't need to pay for a domain but yo ustill need a paid site plan to link it to a project. Webflos has guides on how to link Domains to their Servers which you'll come across when you make the purchase.
Great Video, just to make sure i understand , so to send a project to a client . i should have the freelance workspace plan, show him the final product with a .webflow free domain, then transfer it to their own webflow account, where they will pay for their own basic plan site to published(if they want a custom domain)
Hi HK, yeah that works too. Or, you could leave the project on your account and invite your client to be a collaborator and give them limited access i.e. editing content. Webflow had a Client Billing feature but that's being phased out.
so for example.. if I want two websites. Does this mean I would need to buy the "CMS Plan" twice? (Just an example) Or does buying the "CMS Plan" mean I can have many websites but under these specific plan rules?
Would someone kindly give me some advice. I am about to put my first ever webflow site onto a site plan, what I would like to know is, can I delete the original design from my workspace or does it have to stay there for the entire life of the live site. If I do delete it, how would I edit it if needed. Appreciate any advice Pete
Hi Peter, If you add a site plan to your project, you can delete whatever existing design is on it and add something entirely different, you're not restricted. But - if you delete the project itself from your workspace, your active site plan goes away with it. By design, I mean the pages and media inside the site editor, you're free to do whatever you want with those... edit/delete/recreate.
Depends on the bank and medium. I use Zenith bank and they charge N485/$ ... If you pay via Paypal, it's sure to be N480/N490 if linked to a MasterCard.
@@navil-5 Hi Josh, Webflow does not offer refunds.. except in rare cases, you can contact their support team with a valid reason though, they do make exceptions every now and then.
I still have a question regards to the Site plans & Workspace. What if I have multiple sites that I make on web-flow and 5 sites are online.. Do I need to pay for each site the (basic plan) 12 dollars or? and my second question is: How can I divide for examples church website workspace and my business websites so that my workers can do their thing on my websites without affecting and seeing the church website workspace whereby the church department is working on?
Question 1: Each site would require its own $12/M subscription. so you'd be paying $12x5 monthly to keep all 5 sites up. Question 2: The best way is to create a seperate Email/Webflow account for that new workspace, you cant have two workspace instances in 1 webflow account, but you can move sites across different ones.. would be too complicated if they made it like that. the pricing is already complicated.
A Good Alternative to paying so much to keep 5 sites online is going with something like WordPress paired with a Good Hosting company like Siteground. Would save you 80% on cost yearly especially if the sites arent very complex. - PS: I build Webflow-Quality WordPress sites for a living incase you need this.
