Looks like that spot has some good grass and foliage. I've watched a bunch of your videos. I've never seen you throw a topwater frog. Don't get me wrong, I love a good spinner bait and chatter bait. Any reason you aren't throwing a frog in those conditions?
Thanks Frank, I did have a pad crasher frog tied on and threw it for about a hour or so back in the heavy grass and pads but didn’t get a bite on it. My hookup rate on a frog is not good at all so that’s why I don’t throw it much. I do like throwing a zoom horny toad or similar bait on a big offset 5/0 hook. Works better for me. Yes on the largemouth. Not sure about the smallmouth. Don’t catch a lot of smallmouth because they are not in central Alabama. We do have them in north Alabama though. Thanks for watching!

over the years i have notice , largies get active right before a big storm and smallmouth get turn off idk why
