I’m pretty sure that the first time that Tina Faye did Sarah Palin she read the actual transcript from the 60 Minutes interview. It didn’t need much altering to make it comedy.
That wasn't as funny as the five year old child the Democrats set up as a witness. I'm amazed that was the best they could invent, they had plenty of time. She was a mess.

Weird how that can happen when you have a Toadie Attorney General who sees his first responsibility as personal attorney to a fraudulent businessman, rather than loyalty to the American People.

Alex Baldwin nailed the Donald Trump impersonation better than anyone else. The look and the behavior, mannerisms, voice, talking, etc. Also, showing the Sarah Palin impersonation without the infamous "I can see Russia from my house!" part is disturbing.

I was consistently disappointed that the Trump impression wasn’t more funny.. but I realized eventually that they couldn’t make him more ridiculous than he already was without making him a cartoon character. He just didn’t need parody because he was already hilariously stupid. Unfortunately though his speeches tended to be a 50/50 mix between unintentional comedy and offensive hate speech..
John Goodman as Linda Tripp was truly brutal (Deservedly so) Best thing about that was in FX American Crime Story, Impeachment (Clinton) a couple of years ago. The Kathie Lee Gifford impression was spot-on. Most of the real celebrities took the impressions well, with some of them including Janet Reno, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Sarah Palin actually appearing next to the impressionist. Kathie Lee Gifford, who allegedly had kids working in sweatshops making her horrible clothing line, was very offended by the impression of her.
i think baldwin suffered from delivering great writing a little too well in his first foray as trump and just couldn't quite live up to it after that. "she's always screaming, she's constantly lying, her hair is crazy, her face is completely orange, except around the eyes where it's white, and when she stops talking her mouth looks like a tiny... little... butthole..."
Tina Fe had left SNL but got drafted back when Sarah Palin was named vice president because of the uncanny resemblance between them, perfect doplegangers. I saw it right away but found out that a great many other people did too. With fans clamouring for it, Tina Fe had to return and portay her.
