  • In Level Up With Elinchrom, we challenge some of our favorite photographers to leave their comfort zones behind. In this episode, photographer and visual artist Alan Winslow partners with two high impact dancers to experiment with using strobes to freeze motion in new and creative ways.

Enjoyed the series; thanks! The multi-pop sequence used here is very cool, especially with the dancers. Excellent work!

This is great but there is little more than generalities about how to freeze and create motion with Elinchrom strobes.

No mention of the gear used. Did you use the same inside and out. Did you switch. What head are you talking about?

Hello Reuben, thanks a lot for for your message. Alan used the ELB 1200 with Hi-Sync heads when he was indoors and ELB 500 TTL when outdoors.

On my ELC1000 the effect is called stroboscopic or strobo. On the ELB, I think it has the setting built in, otherwise, it is only available on the ELC500, 1000 and the ELB1200.
