God bless her, that must have been rough on her. But yeah… I’ve never seen it in writing directly related to PD, but based on knowledge of anatomy and patients I’ve treated over the years with short rib-pelvis ratio it makes perfect sense that posture could contribute to reduced lung capacity and thus lead to shallow breathing.
@@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation Thanks for saying so, her spine didn't change to bad until her early to mid 60's. She actually passed away in someones driveway. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and as the lady decided not to answer my mom's knock my mom made it to the drive way and collapsed she had a heart attack It's like a light switch got turned off.
Very informative. Thanks At times I feel as though I have chest rigidity but maybe it’s the shallow breathes. And I do have poor posture I read a lot in a hunched over posture. Again thank you for giving me lots to think about
Could be both honestly. The shallow breathing could contribute to joint stiffness in the ribs. And you are most welcome. I’m just glad to make any impact I can to help
I agree on the bending forward and difficulty breathing. My mom had Parkinson's as well as scoliosis which we believe contributed to her heart failure

Wow, how sad. But you know, it must be somewhat comforting that she was doing good work as she left this world.
@@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation Yep, it did. As we all have said she died with her boots on 😉😊
