Amazing technology! And I wonder I wonder how thick a material it can process

@FraunhoferILT I have an application for this technology; how do I contact someone to discuss it?

What requires so many and such small holes? What is the end product used for?

Drilling with laser radiation is used as a manufacturing technology for complex geometries and materials. Novel laser drilling processes with drilling rates of up to 12,000 holes/s are, for example, available for applications in filter technology or for sensor applications.
For instance, water filters for microplastics were developed that allow the filtration of particles as small as 10 micrometers from water. For this purpose, tiny holes were drilled in thin metal foils with ultrafast lasers.

Hello jay patel! The laser used is a TruMirco 5280 femto edition. If you are interested, you can find further information on the topic of micro- and nanostructuring, for example, on this website: s.fhg.de/B4n
