Nice quick hike over those 2 Paul, you didn’t want to get caught up there when the heavens opened.🌧🌧 wee Paddy seemed to enjoy it. The vans looking the biz now, great wee mobile hotel, you’ll get great use out of it.👍 Cheers mate, Frank.
The Munro mobile! Hopefully will make those far away hills that wee bit easier 😁. Paddy is in his element out there....he did sleep the rest of the day though🐕🐕😅😅cheers again Frank! Paul
Enjoyed your video Paul. 👍These Drumochter hills are always a good day out, glad you got the summits clear and dry. Your Munrovan conversion looks superb. ATB Derek
Thanks Derek. I was wanting something quick and they fit the bill! An brilliant walk and really enjoyed the big corrie at the first Munro. Yeah the van will certainly help for the further away trips. Cheers again. Paul
Really enjoyed the video Paul😁..You always look so happy up the mountains😁..The van is absolutely amazing mate. You’ve done a cracking job in it ..Excellent video 😁👌🏻 Cheers Robert
Cheers Tam...I think I just beat the weather and no more...one lovely spell when the sun came out and there was blue sky all around....3 seconds later it was all gone 😁. Yeah the van is coming on! Another few wee tweaks and it's good to go! Cheers again Tam and hope you get your footage 👍👍👍Paul
Love the van Paul, proper good and will give you so many more options for exploring and bagging munros! Thanks for the video and keeping me sane this Monday afternoon, have a great week, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 👍 😀
Lovley looking hike and summits, great spot for a bit to eat! Interested to see the van Kat and I are keen to pick one up too 🚎❤🗻 definitely want to throw the "Munro-Mobile" into the name mix! Like Batmobile lol 😆 🦇
The batmobile sounds like a winner! I do however like the Munro mobile! It's been a great wee project and brilliant fun to drive. We have been away every weekend almost since we got it. Makes things so much easier especially with the remoteness of some of the hills in Scotland. Keep you updated on progress! Paul
Cheers for showing this loop mate. Good to see that I'm not the only one getting wee frights with the Grouse but it's never as scary as a poodle in your roof. The van looks great and a smashing place for munroing. Again, cheers for sharing and I look forward to the next outing.
An easy peasy wee walk Brian. I actually made a mistake in my video...it took me 3 hours 56 minutes in total. Cannae beat that for a nice short day out. Hopefully the van will make those far away trips that bit easier. Cheers again....Paul
The van is looking guid Paul. The poor tent will be getting punted for the remote hills eh. 😉 Good couple of hills. Need to repeat them on a good winter day. Done them in the clag. Had tae watch this later oan the phone. Oor wee rescue, Copper, wis barking at Paddy. We cannae watch anything with animals in it. 🙈🙉
Cheers Kev! The tent will also be close to my heart and has pride of place in the van storage section 😬. Yeah I guess in a good winters day this would be a great walk! I need to get traveling a bit further afield this summer and visit some of the further away hills! My wee paddy doesn’t bother at all with the Telly 🦮🦮cheers again Mate. Paul
Nice wee chilled vlog Paul 👌 couple of straightforward Munros 🏔 and a race against time 😀 the van is looking great 👍 going to come in handy for overnights in poorer weather ⛈ good stuff Paul atb Brian 👍
Thanks Brian. Yeah nice and easy morning walk and I ran away from the rain all the way around. Looking forward to a long summer of van trips into the wilds. Cheers again mate....Paul
Thanks Linda. I have wanted to try this for years! Already enjoying the convenience and thinking about something bigger next year…..looking at your van with awe 🫢! Paddy loves it too and has found a comfy corner on the bench 🦮🦮cheers again. Paul
Hi Paul, Superb all round video. Love the work on the van, nice job👍. Can I ask what (if any) issues you came across when putting in the Rock &Roll bed? Cheers Paul 🇬🇧
Hi Paul and thank you very much! A great wee day out... So the rock and roll bed I have is not one of the metal type with fixings through the floor onto brackets. It is simply fixed into the ply subfloor using some screws and L shaped brackets. So that's pretty easy and no real issues. Positioning it centred means there is a gap at each wheel arch but that's no real issue either. I had to lower it so that I can sit comfortably without my head hitting the roof, again just some cutting so near real issues again. All in all very simple to install and very easy to remove if required. For what I use the van for it's been great. I bought some cushions from IKEA which are the exact size of the bed (just luck) and some fitted sheets. I use two extra large pillow cases which I stuff with two pillows and my quilt! Easy peasy. Hope this helps! Paul
@@PAADVENTURES1 Hi Paul, Thank you so much for getting back to me, really appreciated. Your reply is so helpful, especially the tip re the height, I also love the method of fixing to the sub floor. All so useful. Thank you again Paul and I wish you well with your future adventures in the van 🙏🙏 Paul🇬🇧
Nice wee walk and nice work with the van - I have been looking for a daily driver/simple van sleeper set-up but need 3 seats in the front - did you buy or make the bed?...still researching, good job. 👍👍👍
Hi Dave, I wanted something small enough to be kinda inconspicuous but still room enough for two. I did look at a connect with the three seats in the front but it was newer and more expensive. I got this wee van for a song with only 25k miles on the clock. I bought the bed on line then adjusted it to fit. I was going to make one but the cost of timber was on a par with just buying and altering one! Works a treat! Paul
Nice one, looks like a sweet wee van - I had a Peugeot partner combi that was easy to take the back seats out of (4 bolts) and throw a blow up bed in but it had seen better days (the van) so got rid of it, just need the 3 seater as I have the niece/mother etc now and again and rarely have the need for 4 or 5 seats so the back of car is wasted space, just love the versatility of a van. I need a daily driver too as not into running 2 vehicles especially with the price of everything! Just looked at the connect...could be the answer if I can get a good deal...last question (honest) can you take the bed out easy enough if say you needed to transport a washing machine or something? Cheers again, Dave
Dave, I could have the bed lifted on in less than 5 minutes. I have it attached to some small brackets fixed to the sub floor. I got three bench cushions from ikea and they fit almost perfectly on the three bench sections. 👍👍Paul
Good to get 2 easy ones ticked off Paul. Van looks great and ideal for the overnights for ones further away! It’s getting more challenging ! What external mic do you use? It’s great audio! I’m having real problems trying to get good audio and a few times it’s not even recorded ! So frustrating !
Thanks Andrew! Yeah the van should save a lot of long drives and falling asleep half way home! I’m just using my iPhone and the rode wireless go with a rode lavalier mic plugged into the wee black box with a wind sock. I tried just using the wireless go itself but kept losing those wee wind socks that clip on!! Not cheap but it’s reasonable quality and should last. So yeah…rode wireless go and rode wireless go lavalier mic. 👍👍
@@PAADVENTURES1 Cheers Paul, I had a Rode wireless go but lost the mic when it pinged off my rucksack chest strap. I got a cheaper system but no indication its recording like the Rode! I might try a lavalier as i do have one. I know what you mean about the fluffy dead cat, it doesn’t take much for it to fall off! I’m working on 2 vids just now so they will be dropping soon , just need to find time to edit! Cheers, 👍
