- Bemis Mountain lean-to campsite (mi. 1959.1) to Piazza Rock lean-to campsite (mi. 1978.6) Another swampy, wet, and muddy day today … however the sun came out about 11 a.m. so that helped our moods considerably. Big mileage day today for the terrain we were hiking through, definitely the hardest I’ve pushed myself in recent memory. We have another tough one tomorrow that will take us over Saddleback, Mt. Spaulding, and Mt. Abraham … over 5000 feet of ascent. Today and tomorrow will set us up for a 13 mile day into Stratton, ME where we will resupply and hopefully find somewhere nice to spend the night.
I need to get a good nights sleep so night! 😴
Today’s menu: A Gatorade protein bar, a Barebell protein bar, 2 extra large Snickers bars, a package of Cliff energy bloks, a Quest protein bar, 2 freeze dried meals, a package of freeze dried blueberries granola milk & almonds, and water with Liquid IV.
