I respect people who use old phone more than the newer one.
I have a 256gb X and a 160gb Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, both working great. I use an Apple TV 3rd gen, not the new 4k version, just 1080p. My TV is a 32-inch 2011 Samsung flatscreen. I also have a 5-year-old Roku, and my PC was built with used parts in 2020-2021, so it's a 2019 build more or less. In addition, I use a 2011 Pentium laptop and 6-year-old Skullcandy Bluetooth earbuds. I want to buy an old iPhone 5s to jailbreak for research purposes and experiments.
I have old Xbox 360s, PS2s, and game systems in general. Most are left to waste from others, but I like to keep mine in good condition, not in a nerdy way, but because I worked for it. I don't have a lot of money in Canada right now, so I like being frugal.
I'm planning to pair the iPhone 5s or the first-generation SE with a Mophie case to extend the battery life. I also want to run a different version of iOS if possible because I want to use it as a media device. I think 16GB will be fine, as it has a better audio chip than some newer budget MP3 players. Getting an iPhone 5 for the same price and having a semi-usable phone sounds like a win-win to me. Also, I want the Bluetooth option.
I use an iPhone 5s as a secondary for social media web browsing and music plus other and on apps and I use an SE1 as my main which runs pretty much all the new apps.

@ yep still using it as my daily phone In 2025. The only app that won’t update or Disney plus. You’ll probably have to get a new battery in the phone as they are coming up to 10 years old now

I found out how to sign in into iCloud on iPhone 5s. Install an app. It will ask you to sign in. Sign in. Go to settings, then your Apple ID will probably be there. Click it, and then turn on iCloud when you see it. Then, you will now be signed in into iCloud. Hope this helps!

I used the iPhone 5 s for 8 years and then upgraded to the IPhone Se 1st gen for the last couple of years. Only downside is the limited battery life that is poor even with a new Apple battery however the small size is the compensation for that.

For me the iPhone 5S felt like my first real smartphone because the 4 I had before it that had so many problems and had terrible battery life which was an old phone my dad no longer used back in 2014 that was on its last legs. I do remember the circular volume buttons and Slide To Unlock changed to a more modernized form. I remember how cool the fingerprint scanner was and learning how Touch ID worked. I had the 16 GB model and had it for 2 years until I upgraded to the 6 which felt like a mostly better version of the 5S although I also was able to get a 32 GB model.

I would like to tell you about why your phone did not get signal in some places (if your in usA) one the iphone 5s switches to 3g instead of 4g when making a call because who knows :2 the next one could be your network might not support the 5s or might not work with the gsm or cdma bands anyway great review

I used to have the iPhone SE 1st gen it was really good but with a case was built like a brick and got really hot then I upgraded to the iPhone 7 witch I love the screen quality and it’s a decent bit bigger watching on a iPad 9th gen great ipad no got rid of my 7 and got a android for 2023 and I love it

Come on man... You can't have a battery manufactured in 2014 with a charge cycle of 700+ ( 4:31 ) and complain about battery life. If you replace it you can go through out half a day with light use.

it's easy for me to use. UA-cam doesn't work, unfortunately. I even use iphone 4s on Ios 5 sometimes. you have to try to replace the battery..
Iphone 5 on iOS 10 is very slow. for me, I never noticed the iPhone 5s being slow. even on ios 12
