  • Quick test done on vector impedance analyzer (N1201SA) to see quality of new arrival fake Motorola 800MHz antennas that i would like use on ISM 868MHz band.
Difference in resonant between two of them is massive... they came from same seller - same bath - looks like they are hand made and frequency response is dependent from someone sloppy job... recommend to check SWR before TX.

Excellent antenna for use in repeaters. There, the input frequency is 45 MHz lower than the main

    Wow.
    Just, wow.
Split the antennas open to see what they did inside.
Also, that antenna analyzer is nice. I'm going to go have a look at them right now.

I will do as soon i get another antenna:)
About antenna analyzer, don't buy it - buy one that cover also HF range..
You will miss it (HF), like i miss after a while. Right now i'm searching eBay for analyzer that cover also HF.
Also I'm missing radio test set (for testing transmitter and receiver sensitivity) hope someone will throw it while switching to newer DMR ;-)
      Take care!

@@mostlypostie1 Thank You, i think it's similar base design: ua-cam.com/video/esaG7Q-zDNY/v-deo.html but mini 600 advertise like broader bandwidth.

Those antennas are good. Wide useable bandwidth. Do you want those antennas working beyond 899mhz?

No, You can clearly see on video that on 900Mhz (right edge of chart) SWR went into unusable area > 4.
