+Silver Jag I liked his performance but i didnt like the ending, the big payoff in this song is that soaring "i dont wanna fall in love" in full voice and instead he did that weird falsetto twice. The first time i liked it but the second time it made it feel like a gimmick. I think if he had done a proper ending he would have gotten at least one more chair turned, maybe more.

I don't get why only one chair was turned for this audition. Honestly I think It's one of the best voice auditions out there.
Because they did not think they could help become a better singer.

@@izil1fe Incorrect. To the untrained ear, this might sound impressive. But reality is, that his low notes were a bit shaky. And his high notes were pitchy and he ran out of breath by the end of it. It just screams of a lack of vocal control. They didn't choose him because he's honestly a wild card. It really showed during the battle rounds when he completely ruined the entire song by pitching it up so high.
I can't help myself pushing the replay button, again and again.
I don't physically get his voice, its so unique.

competition takes more people to their limit and beyond, thats how people (sadly, maybe?) are.

my statement isn't dumb. you apparently have never listened to music that wasn't vocal based. Listen to some Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree. Music with long guitar solos that makes you feel something. It can't simply be judged by judges who want high ratings not the art of the musical album. The only competition should be between rock bands competing for album sales. Long live guitar rock > just vocal based music.

Dawg, I can kinda easily explain, at first I agreed with you, but on second thought she was right. She wished him good luck, as it is really difficult to control and form a voice like John has it, his voice is not usual. He has a great, yet really strange voice which is hard to control, ALSO for the coach
I didn't get it either. I thought she was being mean spirited. During the show it seemed like she was trying to get Will to do what she wanted him to do. Sometimes I felt like he picked someone just because she didn't want him to. Will likes unusual voices and so do I. It gets boring otherwise.
maybe like how southern Americans say "bless your heart." it sounds nice but it's meant as a "f you"
I would rather say, she wishes Will good luck, because until then he was the only coach who turned around. So she hopes for him that noone else would turn around. She says it with a quite ironic voice, because she thinks, that there will be more coaches to turn around.

Best voice ever!
The guy has the voice, but he gets all show offish with the wailing parts. The genius of the song is the subtle, emotive vocals. When you change the dynamic that much, you're making the song all about you and not doing it properly.
Oh god, this is absolutely my favourite song of all time...and thank goodness he did it justice.
