- Just a quick video to show how to install the shifter bracket on a G2 Can Am Outlander or Renegade. This was performed on a 2019 Outlander 850 XMR.
it's common for the OEM plastic shifter bracket to crack where the ball joint connects, this is an inexpensive insurance type upgrade.

What gear do you keep it in while doing this or does it matter
It doesn't matter, we left that one in park. Neutral would also work.
Would this also work on the 2020 outlander , the parts numbers are different from 2019 to 2020 , are the shifter arm also different
Yep, as far as I know they are the same. The guy whose machine we installed it on for the video did his 2021 a few weeks after filming, all steps are the same.
Would this part also be the same for a 2022 outlander
