Thanks Michael! Glad you keep “pokin’ the bear” lol.
Always!
I really enjoyed seeing you on that livestream with @MexicaliFishkeeper. Jorge is a wonderful guy. And yeah, I said you were on my Mount Rushmore of Fishtubers, and I meant it! Thanks for just being you. I wish more people were as straight forward as you are. Keep it going Michael, and I'll be here watching!
I had fun and thanks for the kind words!
I believe it’s the stand, as the base of the tank
Yup
Great Episode Micky!
Thanks!
Very informative, nice show
Thanks
Call him ADOBO!! Also Mike, that black frame u were trying to put on top is actually a little stand for the bottom. It stays in place by lining up w those knobbies on the tank bottom.
Thanks!
Love this! Good to see your sense of humor is getting stronger. 😂😂 I look forward to seeing the updates and learning how you decide to heat it. Enjoy your holiday season.
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Quite a noble effort ❤👍😊👍
I tried
I like the name Sushi for your kitchen betta. But I don’t think you need any of our opinions 😜 Can’t wait to see how he does 💙
lol, thanks.
Michael, I’m very very disappointed, you should know that a single betta needs at least a 2000 gallon tank with a 500 watt heater 😂😂😂😂😂
Damn it! What am going to do now?!?
Can go in small tank, but people just take care of the fish.Do your homework check water frequently.
@@MichaelsFishRoomlol 😂I like how bold ur with people no filter…..😂😂
Other peace is the stand 😊
Bettas need at least 5 gallons
He’s the right colour to be called “Prune”.
Lol
Good plan
I think so.
He's in the kitchen... call him Soup.
Lol
Spirit , for a name
Thanks
Painfully funny to watch you try to put the stand on the top of the tank because you didn't read all the instructions! 🤣🤣🤣 Otherwise a good video for any beginner to watch and learn from! 🤩
Hahaha! I was just logging in to say it is a stand for the bottom 😂
Just keeping it real!
@@MichaelsFishRoom that's why you are my fav!
I got the same tank.over the summer at a flea market.its a nice little tank.i keep some shrimp in it .but it would 100 💯 percent be fine for betta .ive kept them long term for years in 1/2/5gallon aquarium.im using punctuation .the lids fit weird
Cool
Freddie the fish 😅😅 love what your doing with the beta Mike love the shirt by the way
Thanks!!
I'm having trouble keeping my Oscar in this thing every time he moves, he knocks the thing over. I mean he's a fish and this thing is for fish why isn't he happy?
Pure satire for those who don't know.
I can’t believe you felt the need to explain. Lol
That little fella is probably so happy to be out of that cup! Also is there a chance that hob has a strong flow? It looks like he struggles to swim or could that just be because of his fins are torn?
It because he was weak.
Call Him little Mike
I already have something names "Little Mike"
I see some Adobo - that shyt goes good with everything !
Yup!
I do this too. Keep them out of the landfill. And the last one I got looks very much like this guy
Nice.
Can we please all take a moment to appreciate Michaels shirt
I like it
on heaters SICCE JOLLY are really good for nano tanks
I need like a 10w!
They make one
Let's name him Samurai
The Japanese fight fish 😂
Nice
Oh 1 gallon . Lowest I do is split 5 the cycleing in 1 gallon good luck
It may never cycle.
Don't feel bad. I was just like you with the first one of those I bought! Before I figured out it was the base! ❤
Lol
great idea for a video series. He is kinda sad looking. Maybe he will color up when he is healthy.
He already has!
I keep a one gallon tank on a seedling heat mat. It works great.
That’s what I did before. I just got a 10w heater today.
🤣 I love this video idea! Well, betta rescue is nothing new. However, doing it reasonably, rationally ~ with pocket change makes more sense than any other video I've seen on the subject! And when you said "go fuck your self!" ~ I had such an outburst, spit my coffee across the desk! These videos can make a bad day good! 🤣 From one long time betta keeper to another ~ "go for it! Break those damn Googlized rules!" Your just the guy to put an end to the lies and the myths 🤗 You've got my support! 🐟
Thanks Karen!
Summer is coming 😂
Yes it is!
Great idea for a series! Looking forward to the future adventures of your Betta and you. BTW, I pronounce it Bay-ta, it drives the purists crazy.
Nice!
hehehe...you went there. Good job.
Yes I did
I love seeing you back in the full swing and your tshirt.......do you have a link for that one? This series makes me so happy! Hope to see you guest on more live streams! I think his name should be "Adobo"
Thanks Spin! I forgot where I got it. Sorry
- Yesterday, I suddenly got a betta fish from a family member who didn't want to take care of him anymore.. She kept him in a 1 gallon bowl.. So when I got him, I set up a 5 gallon I already had and placed some pothos plants (only the roots and stem, not leaves) in the tank with him to help with ammonia, nitrates, ect - I also put some Stress Coat in the water to help him relax after the move...
- I have a floating thermometer in the water to constantly keep check of the water temp.. My bedroom is naturally warm, so the water stays within the temp that bettas like (which is between 75 - 80 °F)..
- I have a small sponge filter in the tank on a gentle flow for him.. He's doing okay, and is active.. and he is very nosy.. When I'm near his tank, he comes to the front to see what I'm doing.. LoL..
- This morning I found a bubble nest on the water's surface. I'm not getting him a girlfriend.. 😅
Nice job
@@MichaelsFishRoom Thank you, sir - Love your videos. ☺
id love some advice for fungus on the mouth. i purchased a black molly about a week ago and i noticed some white on his lips. Any advice with treatments or links to comfirm would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Go to my Facebook group and add a post. Michael's Fish Room
Amazon has a 5 watt heater for $5.
Thanks!
Hi, just came across your youtube and wanted to know of any local San Jose stores to buy betta.
Try googling?
He's actually in decent health just don't like small space .
He doesn’t mind it though.
👍🏻👍🏻
😀
👮🏻♂️Sir, This is fish police. Put the Betta down and step aside, we have a few questions.
Oh no!
Bob would be a fun name for him. 😊
Bob!
I have fun with my fishes names.
I see in one of your other videos you have a snowball pleco. I had one I wanted him just to keep the tank clean I know they don’t get really big but he never seemed to grow at all and he always seemed to be hiding in the back of the tank not doing much he eventually came out at the end of his life he lived for about 6 months not his life expectancy but do you know if they hide all the time and I would think they would grow a little bit but he stayed tiny. Thank you for your help! I was thinking of getting another one but worried it would end up with the same outcome.
Mine are out all the time. What did you feed it?
Michael , Michael. The black rim is fir the bottom. I've had one just like it. 😅
🤦🏻♂️
you lookin good! chunky and health. Cheers and good health in 24
Chunky? 🤬
Quite a compliment 😀
during the bloopers I noticed your eyebrows channeling John Belushi....
Lol
I was given one of these a year ago for Christmas and it has had a adopted beta in without a heater either. He is healthy and thriving with just a piece of sponge for filter media. Thanks Michael! 😊
Nice!
The alpha raises a betta.
Rim shot!
Trim goes on bottom?
Yup 🤦🏻♂️
You need to go in a few days they probably just got a new order I always go in see the shelves stocked like that most look OK but they decline and decline the longer they are there.
Maybe I will
Name him Mr. Limpitt. Love him. You rock too.
Thanks!
that part you can’t figure out is actually the base Homie lol.
makes it alittle more stable from tipping over
Damn it!
Eh. You know what youre doing so 1 gallon isnt gonna end in disaster for you. He's a gorgeous fish! Hope he does well for you! I have the 5 gallon version of that tank and I love it.
Thanks
OMG
That’s what she said.
Hey Mike, while I agree that putting a Betta in something less than 5 gallons isn't the worst thing you can do, 1 gallon is definitely not enough for a betta. No disrespect, I just don't think you should be saying that 1 gallon is "fine" for them.
And why not?
Your inability to fit that trim piece explains the filament in the car brand you work for. A++
Ouch
lol - I happen to like my Subaru - Mike is just a dummy sometimes lol
@@kjeaquaticsmost of the time.
Thank you Michael for calling them Bettas (with 2 T’s) instead of Beta (with one T). One is a fish, the other is the Greek letter B.
Glad to do it. Lol
Hahaha! I did a double take when I saw you open up the directions. Love your T-shirt! I keep my bettas in 3-4 gallon tanks. I’m too lazy to deal with a 1 gallon. I don’t follow any betta groups. I can’t deal with judgement. Your setup will definitely make their heads explode. LOL!
That's the point!
Wonderful cus is not they end in the dumpster in the back off store,I fallow a Chanel and he jump in the dumpster off pet mart and petco he get get betta goldfish u nemes it,and a boa one time…..
Ok
Hullo man Betas need some rocks or wood and add gravel or aquatic soil, more live plants. This tank wont be working... Pls post an update about 3 months later :) See yea and tc
No they don’t.
😂😂😂 3:10
😎
Its the base..
🤦🏻♂️
This is one fish I’ve never kept .. 97 gallons lmao I think it’s for the bottom
Lol
Hey brother!! That tank is way to small need a 20 gallon for a betta 😅😅😅
You left off a zero off.
@@MichaelsFishRoom haha
That plastic container, does not qualify as a tank, is too small for a Betta. You also need to purchase and use things like “BettaFix”. To keep him happy and strengthen his immune system, be sure to get the Betta log. It floats and they love it. You also don’t have enough filtration at all. The Catapa leaf needs to be boiled before placing. The kitchen is not ideal for Bettas as fumes from the cooking can contaminate the water.
damn! I bet youre a blast at parties… 😂
Can’t tell if being a douche or ironic.
@@MichaelsFishRoom I believe in the end too that it is way too crowded in there for him. Bettas need swimming space. I think you tried too hard.
@@MichaelsFishRoomby the way, Bettas are not cichlids.
@@MichaelsFishRoom After looking at his channel....i'm going with douche.
I rescued one too and now is beautiful and I get it for 60% off I pay 💰 9.00$…. And I love my betta ❤his name Oliver
Great job
I Do same I have 13 bettas always clamped fins when I get them
Nice
I can't wait to see all the stupid comments and your responses.😂
Me tooooooooooo!
But Miiiike - you can't keep a betta in your kitchen!!!!! It will breathe in all your cooking smells!!!!!! LOL
lol, I hope he likes garlic!
He's going to freak out if Mike starts cooking some fish😂
@@Lisa.Sparkman😂😂
name him Axel !
Why?
@@MichaelsFishRoom why not...
Fair point
Lol brain fart... I have a few possible names for your Betta. BrainFart, SkyWalker, Han Solo, D.Vader.The FORCE compels you to choose one of these names😂
Lol
LMAO, when you pulled out the betta tank I could just hear all the snowflakes crying. You will have to do another video on all the trash talk you're going to get. You're right if you know what you're doing you can keep a betta for years alive in a small tank I did it for years and 3 1/2 gallon tanks.
Somebody (hint hint) needs to share this in the betta groups!
I wish I could but I've been banned from them all a few years ago
@@MichaelsFishRoom a bit disappointing that this is how you approach criticism. Being a fish UA-camr, I think it's important not to spread misinformation. Bettas do a lot better in 5 gallons. I think even 2.5 gallons is fine if you don't have a lot of space, but promoting the purchasing of these bad 1 gallon tank kits is disappointing to see and I am going to have to unsubscribe.
@@Noxlion28it’s ok, if you are wrong, nobody cares. I have, as well as many others have kept bettas in 1g or less. The fact that you “think” 2.5g is the smallest, just shows you lack of knowledge on the subject.
Only noobs and fish tank nazis complain about small tanks for betas. That particular fish does NOT like to swim a lot. They like to chill and too much swimming will tire them out and they will die sooner from stress.
Really, I had no idea. 🤦🏻♂️
Hey Fish Dude , First thing the idea that your adopting a fish to improve its life is EPIC !!! If beta people are fussing about 1 gallon tank...I'm guessing they are having a STROKE with them being in a cup ! Kudos to your new project. I did hear the fish say thank you Uncle Mike...so he approves. Keep up the good work Bro...
lol, thanks bro!
