I agree that it is the better martial art for self defence and overall toughness. However, taekwondo is a sport where the objective is not blood or to KO the other guy, but to score points. It’s like comparing soccer and basketball. You can compare the two, but ultimately the two are different and have different purposes and can be fun or not, depending on the person. 👍
ik, but not everything has to be about blood. I love watching MMA and musy thai, where true warriors lay it all down. I have watched old school tkd and modern, so i can see why some would say it's useless. however that is not all. Lmk if you want to know more, or if there is anything you can teach me
@@burpyTKD is that how taekwondo sparring session goes? When you are close to each other, can't you just punch each other? Why kick when you get close? I know that taekwondo has some punching too
I compare taekwondo to soccer a lot, because when you play soccer, why not do the easiest thing, or what common sense would say pick up the ball and run into the net. But there are rules. There are rules in Taekwondo. In Taekwondo, our sport is sparring, we train the kicks that we put into sparring. This video shows light sparring, because we are helping each other train for a competition. But still, Kairos made my nose bleed after and still my instructor has broken my ribs before. Punching to the head is illegal, but a straight punch to the body is all good. Thank you for coming back with your comment, instead of running away like other keyboard warriors 😁
