Our AMAZING 24 hours in TOKYO (+ haul) | Honeymoon Diaries

Join us for another episode of our Honeymoon Diaries as we continue our exploration of Tokyo but this time we ask a local to help us!
Our guide took us on a royal stroll from Tokyo Station to the majestic Imperial Palace, entering through the historic Ote-mon gate, once the entrance for Samurai! The sheer size of this place left us feeling tiny in comparison-more impressive than any castle we’ve ever seen. 🏯💫
Next up, a deep dive into Tokyo’s rich culture at the National Museum! From stunning samurai swords to ancient Noh theater masks, we were in awe of Japan’s vibrant history. 🗡️🎭
Lunchtime brought us to a delicious vegetarian tempura feast! No fish, just crispy goodness! 🍤🥗 And after that… Anime overload in Akihabara! 🎌🎮 We hit up every shop, snagging some adorable gacha goodies, including a mystery Kirby and some awesome One Piece surprises. 🎁✨
After exploring Akihabara, our guide took us to a traditional sake tasting experience! 🍶 We got to try a variety of sake, from sweet to dry, and even compared flavors. Some were light and fruity, while others had a rich, complex taste-perfect for pairing with different Japanese dishes. It was a unique experience, and we definitely have some new favorites!
After soaking in some breathtaking views of Tokyo from the Metropolitan Government Building, we wrapped up the day with pizza, because why not? 🍕😂

Lunch (Tempura) - Enjoying a vegetarian tempura meal.
Akihabara - Anime paradise filled with shops, exclusive merchandise, and gacha items.
Sake Tasting Experience - A traditional tasting session, exploring different flavors of sake.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building - Observation decks with panoramic views of the city and, on a clear day, Mount Fuji.
Pizza Spot - Ending the day with some pizza in a fun, underground location.
