- Hi again! Today I've finally finished transcription from Tokyo Ghoul episode 12 bgm. It's not your usual song with trivial chords progression, so it took me a while to finish. I saw someone called it Rize's melody (or original Sorrow), so let it be called so.

The anime may be rushed, but when this music plays in the final episode, it's one of the most beautiful animes scenes ever.
+AlberichGamer I swear I get goosebumps and shivering when hear Kaneki actor's voice while this piece in the background. It makes your heart tremble just like Kaneki's. It's the real power of anime

This song makes you feel like you've had enough, and you can no longer tolerate what's eating you up. All the good things you've done was meaningless.

Sky Chord hence the songs name "sorrow"
Sky Chord that's what basically happened to Kaneki. All the good thing's he's done were meaningless after he turned into a ghoul.
"I'm not wrong. What's wrong is.... this world!" my god I just love that part of the ost playing a that moment. Was absolutely beautiful! Thank u for the synthesia.
This piece literally brought me to tears when it was played during the scene with kaneki and rize , where the White flowers were blooming into red ones.
during that whole part of the dialog 4:09 to 4:17 was my favorite part. there was just something about the beat in the piano that was on point... but overall good shit

it's been 4 years since the first time i listens to this video, since then i will always listen this whenever i felt overwhelmed by the world, lonely or severely depressed. somehow this ost gave me resolve or certain determination. thank you for uploading this.
Quick story, this was written when i was a highschooler. I was bullied by both family and classmates often overlooked and thought to be useless and stupid even by my parents, they were always say that once i get into adulthood I won't find a job.
Year later my sister died and my parents divorced leaving myself alone unsure if i could provide myself money so i moving town from town even countries.
Now, I'm an adult I've changed so much into someone who i never expected to be, i make a living, i make friends, i found where is my passion and exploit it to make money, surpassing that of my parents made. Even people look up to me yet I don't know why though and I don't really care.

Hi, im KannoN. I'm actually the guy who called it Rize's Melody. Before Sorrow was released, I was looking everywhere for the OST to no avail. So I ripped out the audio and then later posted it on SoundCloud. That's when I thought of the name for it. RizexKaneki forever lol. I'm so fucking grateful that you transcribed this. I love you man! And still retaining that name.. You're awesome..

Monster From Within Yup, I struggled with the sound a lot. But if you listen closely, there is annoying hammering in the background, I didn't figure out how to get rid of it without quality loss :'( Even so, I'm satisfied with the sound, think it's close enough to the original.

You are so loved right now I have been looking for a clean version of this for months now. Soon I will transcribe it into apb for a theme. I can't remember where it is but in roof a kenekiped in the prison there is this really crazy chaotic and disfunctional piano bit. Any chance you can find it and give that a go. The nature of it just gives me goose bumps due to the chords and dissonance in the tones
sirken2 I'm sorry but I probably won't do that. I didn't like it that much and didn't find a clear version, so transcribing it will be a tough task, especially considering it's "not-so-melodic" nature.

Konasium I wish I had perfect pitch... Takes too much time to find the notes. Usually I just experiment in Sibelius until I'm satisfied with the result. Though it can be trained, so I guess it will get better with time.
