Yeah, next level of costs. With all the innovations, the cost of building a house has skyrocketed in the last decade. We are not seeing the these innovations translate to savings.
The instance where they are cutting the roof with tile, i completely agree! Whether they're clay or cement tiles they are fragile as hell to even walk on let alone cutting or drilling holes in them. A lot of installers will take up the tiles and put shingles down where the panels will cover it and i think thats a terrible idea as well. I've recently seen solar mounts that are designed to replace the tiles. They are molded to look like clay tiles and interlock with the existing roof.
Thanks for providing audio. It drives me crazy to watch these types of videos and, on a small percentage of the "tips" I can't figure out what the procedure is showing.
It's best to watch these for entertainment and not education. It's not like somebody went and researched. Theyre just throwing random crap up there hoping somebody will watch it.
Blown in insulation or Loose-fill in attics and walls is nothing new, its been around for YEARs. Using that machine is also the slowest way possible to apply loose-fill.
That non explosive grout works good, but when they say one side exposed, that doesn't mean the top! Ya gotta dig down one side of the concrete and expose THAT face. Learned that one the hard way.... $$$$
0:45 - Noiseless. Unless you count drilling the fucking holes in the rock using that "silent" percussion drill.. I mean look how silent it is ! The guy has ear protection !
Solar power mounts: (1) Yeah getting all those mounts aligned correctly with panel holes (as shown) is nearly impossible. (2) Huge wasted of aluminum. (3) Really, destroying tiles to inset these things? That's hell destructive. No thanks! Haha "a special screwdriver" as in a standard hex driver.
why are always foward thinking technology that is environmentally friendly and practical to DIY’ers never reach US soil with out some inflatable prices or shipping costs that makes no sense .
The insulators have no idea what they are doing.just to start the pink stryo seperators they are putting up in the rafters don't even reach side to side .FAIL.

@@crow578 Actually the topic was "Construction technologies that have reached another level". And you cherry picked one sentence out of context so you could bitch about plastic production. The video was talking about "PVCU" and the quote was that "it was more environmentally friendly than PVC." Which is true. So the only thing irrelevant on this topic is you.
@@GregMoress Not really, since production and recycling uses a great deal of energy, and releases dioxins and other carcinogens. You can't make vinyl products in a "green" way.
Currently installing 175mm of rigid insulation boards in my extension roof with no gaps and foil taping all seams to meet UK regs uvalue of 0.15, and watching this loose fill being blown in as new technology in the US just makes me think its all pointless. The US is so far behind. What is the US regs max uvalue for a pitched roof?

All these revolutionary products. and all of them are cost prohibitive for the common rabble.

Great Solar Stack 10.55 just cut some holes in the roof to install the Solar panels and don`t seal it up , ( what happens when it rains )

Also, I wouldn't glue the mounts for solar panel only asphalt shingles, since a hurricane would rip up the shingles... which most US roofs have.

I like how you completely missed out drilling the holes on the first one and they are absolutely necessary for the stuff to work.

Compound is noiseless, what about the tools required to drill the holes!

PVC "environmentally friendly"? No. PVC production is the highest source of dioxins.
Unlike PVC, PVCU does not contain any phthalates or BPA which makes this plastic far safer than many other similar plastics.
@@ArtieTheStrongestManInTheWorld This is irrelevant to the topic of environmental "friendliness".

Everything else is toxic AF. I know a building with styrofoam insulation and it stinks years after it was installed.
