Bishan Singh Bedi, Former Cricketer, Responds To What Drove Him To The Cricket

Former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi, a legendary spinner, died at the age of 77 years on Monday. Between 1967 and 1979, the legendary spinner played 67 Tests for India, taking 266 wickets. In addition, he took seven wickets in ten One-Day Internationals.

Bishan Singh Bedi ❤️ was so philanthropic person. He saw an appeal for Blood in the news paper and he himself went to Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore and donated his blood to a much ailing Child there. during touring Pakistan in 1980s.
We had much respect for him for his such gesture of Humanity!

His quote, "cricket is played in the mind", was a huge source of inspiration, and strength, in my life. It is not too bad a battle plan for cricket, or for any game, for that matter, nor was he too bad a warrier on the battle field. It's a shame, he is no more. Although no one can take the place of my god, but he is certainly one my hero's. It cannot be that the younger generation of sikh spinner's were not inspired, or groomed by him. Outspoken, forthright, maybe even a bit critical, but always a delightful , colorful, cheerful character.
