They bring true spirit to the game. I never skip a video when I see Sourav, Sachin, or Dravid speaking. It's amazing to watch and listen to them. It is a generation defining memory....me and my brother were over the moon and jumping about....and during the break we saw Farokh Engineer come and just praise Jadeja to the skies and in the second half we saw Prasad.....have re-watched that match many times

Pakistan vs India is another level of Cricket Rivalry. Ashes is nothing in comparison to Pak Ind Series. We saw the way Indian won the famous series in 2004. The way Ganguly lead the team was amazing. Both ODI and Test Series was one of the best.
This is the difference between Ganguly's generation of cricketers and cricketers like Sehwag who lack grace and speak nonsense.
Don't forget sehwag is busy promoting kamla Prasad tobacco for money.
People like Sehwag are required to reply to non sensicals like Shoaib Akhtar, Afridi etc.

Sourav pointed out Ind hardly beat pak before he became the captain. It isn't so. We won the 85 Benson and Hedges championship against them, beat them in 3 world cups under Azhar, drew a test series against a very strong Pak team in 1989, independence cup in Dhaka 98 and Sahara cup in 1997 to name a few. It's only that pak had a 2:1 win ratio against Ind back then and not to forget their supremacy in Sharjah.
I’m old so I remember that Javed Miandad six against us. They had a psychological hold over us. Even earlier when Bishan Bedi had to lead the team under duress on a tour to Pakistan, they won more games against us. When Ganguly became captain the tide turned. And IMHO our bowling pace or swing coming through since the 2000s have been a game changer

as a Pakistani fan, Wasim Akram was much more effective and a match-winner. Waqar lacked consistency and in the second half of his career really did not produce match-winning performances. Love to hear Ganguly!
