Thank you so much. I’m doing online training for a new job today and could not figure this out. I was ready to quit until I took lunch break and watched your video. I appreciate you posting this for all of us so much!!

This was great. I'm trying to understand when to use QuickParts vs Templates.... or "Snippets"?? It seems there are a ton of ways to make email more efficient, but I haven't sorted it all out in my mind yet. I'll go dig through some more of your videos. Thank you for making them.

Dawn has such a great way of making things clear. years ago, i'd have jumped at QuickParts, but I discovered (for PC only) the crazy cheap tool "FastKeys". 50/50 which is easier, but Fastkeys works not just in Outlook, but on webpages, notepad, all Office products, and more. And so portable from computer to computer. But none of that takes away from Dawn making this look like a great step forward for Outlook over the simple autocorrect of the past.

FastKeys sounds like a great time-saving tool. I generally stick with the native tools within the #Microsoft apps only so I'm able to show built-in options for my training clients. That said, I'm a huge fan of Grammarly as it not only works in the Office apps, but also my blog posts, social media posts, and just about everything else online.

How do you edit the Quick Parts of even delete it? Everyone shows videos on how to create but how about edit an existing or even deleting one.

This is a great question, Benjie. Looks like I should create an updated video. The easiest way to edit or delete a Quick Part is to move to the list and right-click. Go to 4:23 in the video to see these options.

Unfortunately, it looks like conditional formatting is only available for Outlook in the Windows environment.

How do I export my quickparts? I'm getting a new computer and really don't want to rebuild them all.

Great question, @lauratywater5445. Outlook Quick Parts are stored in the NormalEmail.dotm file. You'll see that location indicated when creating or editing Quick Parts. The file is typically located here:
      C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft\Templates\
So if you want to export your quick parts from one computer to another, simply copy NormalEmail.dotm file to an external or cloud location and then duplicate it to the Templates folder on another PC. Good luck!
