    Thank you for putting this vid out. As a beginner trying to get setup, I was really trying to find out the dimensions and see how this worked. It looks like I'll have to start with some basic schedule 40 steel pipe in order to forge the superior copper tuyere.

    that was really well instructed and beautifully filmed =) may i just ask a thing, because i just quite don't get it yet: how come the copper does not melt, and hence why would it not be advisable to use steel? ist it because the copper dissipates heat more quickly, thus cooling it sufficiently for it not to melt? Plan on doing my first smelt this summer and trying to gather as much info as i can, and there are still so many headscratchers to be cleared =) thank you for sharing this!
