Nursing and EMS Simulation Day 2022

The Nursing, Emergency Medical Sciences and Cosmetology programs at Surry Community College came together to create a disaster scenario on the baseball field so that students could practice scene management, triage, trauma and emergency medical care.
Cosmetology students used moulage to simulate injuries ranging from head injuries to broken limbs on actors who were placed on the ball field to simulate a bleacher collapse. Nursing and EMS students were able to get hands-on practice handling a disaster scenario with these actors.
