And by always we really mean since L.E. She has said herself that she lost her essence in her 20's and saw that show up in her early works such as Y Kant Tori Read. But from 1992 onwards, yes, she is so bravely herself ❤
This was an incredibly powerful and courageous piece of television, these women's testimonies where really something powerful and Tori Amos is just amazing in so many ways.
I really enjoy Roseanne's interviewing style! She seems to vibe really well with Tori and the conversations are surprising and interesting. Thanks for uploading something I would never have seen otherwise.
Aw. You could see it in Ms. Amos’ eyes or face, body language, that she just wanted to hug the young girl when she was speaking. Loved seeing her get up and do so once they were all done speaking.
This should be mandatory to view so that people understand how serious this is. And Tori, i have loved her since i was a tween, but this really strikes home about how important she is.
This interview wasn’t what I was expecting. Thank you for uploading it. I kinda needed to hear these women right now. Also, I know it’s off topic, but just what kind of moron do you have to be to give this a thumbs down?
This is almost too heavy to watch as a survivor myself but I'm glad Tori started this organization. I'm really proud of Tori to say the least. I really resonate with the last girls story. Real victims can tell other victims; you can hear it in their voice and by their choices. I love all victims of abuse. I love you with all my heart. 💜💟💙💕💝💜💖💗💛💚💞💟💛
Tori is so gracious and humble. She gives credit to the make-up people for making her look good, credit to the team at R.A.I.N.N, She's silent and listens to the women speaking. AND, she writes SO MUCH beautiful music that has the power to literally put you under a spell for years and years and years where absolutely NOTHING else gets in EXCEPT her music. I don't regret any of it but damn, this was Seattle 1992... there was so much great music that I missed!!
Behold the power of the internet! I used to be such a Tori Amos junkie growing up. I never could have dreamt this interview happened/would ever air again. Thanks for the share!
Every time I hear *Me and a Gun* I'm covered in tears...I don't know how those two survivors behind her are holding it together while she's singing that song. Maybe they already did and are drained and numb from it all. I'm going to watch it again and again until it loses it's power, so I can grow stronger. I love you Tori.... Thank you so much for posting this video!!! 💖 💙💕💗💖💛💝💜💚💟💞💙💕💗
I don't think Debbie, the woman who didn't want to be identified, did hold it together. She's off to the left of Tori and her piano, and look at 23:52...
This whole segment was actually very powerful...I retract my previous post...those women should have been given MORE time because each and every story was different and important...
Tori was way ahead..well in relation to the present time and the preoccupation with ayausca and shadow work...also in talking out more on rape and sexual assault and particularly in reconnecting with the feminine and the feminine side of the Divine which has been so ignored and sidelined for generations. Also to hear such vivid and detailed descriptions of those womens experiences of rape and sexual assault is something that can never be underestimated and I'm not sure whether TV would allow such raw vivid descriptions now and things get so covered up. People need to hear this and be confronted with the true horror of what rape entails.Strength to all victims and may all victims be believed and gain the justice they deserve. Those guys that did that to that girl is just the most disgusting thing and these are probably considered "normal guys"living in every community and they can so shit like this ....unbelievable.Where do they learn to behave like this. Thank god this woman had the courage and strength to come through this...many don't through no fault of their own. Those guys needed to be in prison and to think they were sitting there in the audience....wow maybe all their dreams turn to shit.
I think this is edited from what was broadcast because of a way it cuts out from audience applause suddenly- I think they must’ve had another section describing their ways of getting out.
I thank you for how you endured this odd and artificial chat and steered it toward a HELPFUL conversation and Call to all us hurt beings to reach toward for healing.
Wow. Just powerful ❤️ and Rosanne as well was such a classy person back in the day. I wonder what happened to her. We all know Tori's still doing the important work.
As a man, this disgusts and embarrasses me. I would like to think that I would open my door to any woman asking/screaming for help. What else could you be inviting in?...that you may not be able to protect them from?
Heartbreaking stories, I pray these ladies were given some immediate support, will stay in my heart in prayer always.. there will be justice, they may not see it but it will be done!!
It's so sad that till these days we still suffer with the same type of violence against us... Ending an interview with a song like me and gun is so mind-blowing, it's almost insane to think this was in 1998.
oh that's why Tori is so fabulous she has Indian blood as well , and thats so powerful, shes one of a kind. Roxeanne I love her, absolutely love her and I think she is so gorgeous, shes not the type of dressing up, but very beautiful woman inside and out... here are two beautiful ladies Tori and Roxeanne how I miss the nineties, I was about 28 in 1998 and so so sooo appreciative of being there when it was all happening, best time ever, eighties fabulous, and nineties fabulousssssss
That first woman speaking about her rape, there’s a lady behind her smirking the whole time. What was up with that? Maybe she knew the camera was on her and was uncomfortable. Who knows. But it made me uncomfortable. The second lady, saying that her abuser always gave her money afterward. I was raped by my mother’s husband. The man she married after my dad died. This pervert would always stuff money down my bra, in my pocket or near me when her did things, made a pass or attempted to do something. I never kept the money. It made me sick. Weird how molesters try to use money as another tool of manipulation or to make you feel like it’s your fault or as if you’re nothing but a paid sex worker to them.
Honestly, Roseanne is just one of many. This is what happens when our country is so screwed up that people have no faith in institutions and think an outsider will be the answer just because he’s an outsider. Problem was, while he was an outsider, his views weren’t much different.
Roseanne acted and wrote a sitcom for 10 years about female empowerment and CLAIMS to not know what Tori Amos is talking about here...???? I think she's playing stupid, so no wonder why the show didn't last....
At the beginning of this interview Roseann's attitude toward Tori was like, "I don't get it.". While the three ladies were telling their stores she seemed to be getting a serious reality check. And at the end, when Tori was singing "Me And A Gun", Roseann looked extremely uncomfortable and a bit shaken, but I think she finally "Got it".
what an absolute waste of Tori's time this turned out to be. if only Roseanne had shown her true colors much sooner, we'd all be better. that said, if you can ignore that utterly unfortunate and egregious blemish on the canon of contemporary America, you can get something truly special from what is happening here.
Sticker's licked on lunch boxes, worshipping David Cassidy, I mooned him once in Donna's yard, she's still recovering. Bean chips and pie, you're only popular with anorexia, so I turned myself inside out in hope someone will see, will see. Make me laugh say you know what you want, you said we were the real thing. Tori gives me strength and my middle name is Jacquie
Well excuse me for the mistake. Please do not send your corrections to me I am quite capable of looking up the lyrics myself. I am a vocalist after all. Have u nothing better to do?
Ok I get talking about RAINN and why she made it but having ppl explain in gruesome detail how they were raped is discusting. She didn’t sight up for that
Except when you are part Native American and are influenced by it, proud of it which Tori is…what’s the problem ? It’s not like she was trying to get into Harvard using the minority card. It’s part of her. Just stop nit picking
I love that Tori has always been 100% who she is.
And by always we really mean since L.E. She has said herself that she lost her essence in her 20's and saw that show up in her early works such as Y Kant Tori Read. But from 1992 onwards, yes, she is so bravely herself ❤

Love Tori!
I really enjoy Roseanne's interviewing style! She seems to vibe really well with Tori and the conversations are surprising and interesting. Thanks for uploading something I would never have seen otherwise.
Tori is an artist who demonstrates the utmost integrity. I am in awe of the depth of her songs.
Aw. You could see it in Ms. Amos’ eyes or face, body language, that she just wanted to hug the young girl when she was speaking. Loved seeing her get up and do so once they were all done speaking.
her speaking voice is as magical as her music.....an almost otherworldly talent ......
.
This should be mandatory to view so that people understand how serious this is.

I wish there would have been a trigger warning for this video but maybe, for whatever reason, I needed the tears and haunting memories today.
love that she hugged that young girl at the end
Thank you for all that you are,
& all that you do, Tori Amos.
You are an incredible human being.
Tori is so gracious and humble. She gives credit to the make-up people for making her look good, credit to the team at R.A.I.N.N, She's silent and listens to the women speaking. I’m bawling.
This whole segment was actually very powerful...I retract my previous post...those women should have been given MORE time because each and every story was different and important...
Tori is a wonderful person as well as such an amazing singer/songwriter. The last song, Me And a Gun, is always so powerful.
I've never seen this. Thank you so much for posting. I hope these 3 warriors Tori and Roseanne speak with are doing well. xoxo
Tori is the most intelligent, talented, passionate, powerful and vital women in music. Trailblazing.
Another reason why I love Tori and these very brave women! God bless them all !🙏
Tori was way ahead..well in relation to the present time and the preoccupation with ayausca and shadow work...also in talking out more on rape and sexual assault and particularly in reconnecting with the feminine and the feminine side of the Divine which has been so ignored and sidelined for generations.

Amazing! Tori's music helped me to confront and speak out about sexual assault too! Such powerful emotional intelligence.
This is so rad to see . Never seen this. Love them both. Much Aloha for posting! 🥰🎄❄️
I feel like they should have finished their stories all the way through instead of being interrupted.
I think this is edited from what was broadcast because of a way it cuts out from audience applause suddenly- I think they must’ve had another section describing their ways of getting out.
My guess is the producers got in Roseanne’s ear and told her to move it along to the next and the next, so they didn’t run out of time.
I thank you for how you endured this odd and artificial chat and steered it toward a HELPFUL conversation and Call to all us hurt beings to reach toward for healing.
Tori is just a human but human genius
Wow. Just powerful ❤️ and Rosanne as well was such a classy person back in the day. I wonder what happened to her. We all know Tori's still doing the important work.
Tori Amos music always brings serenity into my life and this performance of “Me and A Gun”gives me chills.
Wow, this was heavy. Very eye opening
I can't believe I never saw this before, so many heroes in the same room 😭 Tori is an absolute Angel ❤🌟❤🌟❤
You are brave and honest. THANK YOU, dear Tori.
It's so sad that till these days we still suffer with the same type of violence against us...
Ending an interview with a song like me and gun is so mind-blowing, it's almost insane to think this was in 1998.
LOL @5:07 Rosanne asks tori off camera "are you high?"Lol
she said 'that was great' to her
oh that's why Tori is so fabulous she has Indian blood as well , and thats so powerful, shes one of a kind. This is so amazing, thank you for the upload
Roseanne should get her own talk show again. Don’t need a big network anymore ..
great quality!
cant wait for her autobiography. what a read that will be📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚
She has one - came out in 2006 maybe? it focuses on childhood and journey thru industry
3:18 Are you on drugs noooow!!! ???? Hahaha LMAO 😂😂😂😂
Thank you Roseanne!

That whole video was about cutting onions for real. So many onions!...Me and A Gun...Mem or freaking ies! 😎😌😍😊
I don't remember Roseanne Bar having a talk show! Weird!
I miss this Roseanne.
She's strange but absolutely right Lucifer is a ice cream truck driver true story
There’s no way I can love Tori a bit more. Ran out of bits.
Poor roseanne. I miss her, before she went crazy.
She used to be such a force for good... before Trump
I miss her too. She was my hero for so many years. My sweet Roseanne. I wish she would come back from the edge.
Honestly, Roseanne is just one of many. This is what happens when our country is so screwed up that people have no faith in institutions and think an outsider will be the answer just because he’s an outsider. Problem was, while he was an outsider, his views weren’t much different.
Tori and Eddie on the same show
I know, right? :)
#ToriAmosIsEverthing
5:20 Gotta love the upbeat music here
WOW
Roseanne looks beautiful here...
WOW. The first story about rape. WOW😢
what are those three bump things on Roseanne's chest?
5:22 OH MY GOD THAT POOR WOMAN!!! I hope somebody found her and saved her
Was “Debbie” the same girl who was on the Tori 20/20 special?
Rosanne was kind of rude. Why did she ask Tori.....what she asked her?
Oh wow. Roseanne is a terrible interviewer. No wonder the show didn't last long. Love Tori tho.
Aww...Roseanne before she totally fucking lost it.
That guy is not even the funniest guy in Antarctica
Roseanne had a talk show??? Well son-of-a...
I realize running a talk show is extremely difficult and most of us couldn't do it, well roseanne couldn't either
Roseanne acted and wrote a sitcom for 10 years about female empowerment and CLAIMS to not know what Tori Amos is talking about here...???? I think she's playing stupid, so no wonder why the show didn't last....

Roseanne is a survivor of sexual abuse also.
what an absolute waste of Tori's time this turned out to be.
if only Roseanne had shown her true colors much sooner, we'd all be better.
that said, if you can ignore that utterly unfortunate and egregious blemish on the canon of contemporary America, you can get something truly special from what is happening here.
5:19 the music is so weird
Roseanne doesn't have the intelligence to comprehend what is being said.
Make no mistake Lucifer is an androgynous angel that was kicked out of heaven.
TheHypernaught where do ya think he hangs out kids?!?. He's a roaring lion...
Rosalynn Jacqueline McLagan , It's "Bean's got some pot." not "bean chips and pie." Bean is the nickname for her childhood best friend, Nancy Shanks.
She didn’t sight up for that
Love her but oh jeeze! They're always part native American, more specific Cherokee. White people, just stop!
Except when you are part Native American and are influenced by it, proud of it which Tori is…what’s the problem ? It’s not like she was trying to get into Harvard using the minority card. It’s part of her. Just stop nit picking
You actually have no idea what you're talking about here
Tori's ancestors are on the Baker rolls. She is part Cherokee. This isn't some "my great grandmother was a Cherokee princess" type situation.
I've NEVER seen this
I miss Roseanne
