Your September TBR sounds really so good. Congratulations on getting both jobs; you'll definitely be busy. The Freelance writer position sounds really exciting.😊
Great video!! Not sure if you have ever read a Shirley Jackson novel but I really recommend her work. The Haunting of Hill House takes you on a roller coaster.
Some promising and unique reads in there. I have Violet planned for October - I loved Kill Creek! I own the Justin Cronin trilogy but haven't read it yet. I look forward to your thoughts on it. I find it fascinating to read from animals' perspectives (or what humans think would be their perspective 😁). I read Frank Kafka's Metamorphosis recently, a bizarre but interesting novella. That bee one is intriguing and I love the cover. Happy reading!
AH! The Passage! My favorite book of all time! I love that series! Cronin is a great author and the Audible version is narrated by Scott Brick - who is amazing! A lot of people have a hard time with the books because they're very long and lean more heavily on being literary (as opposed to straight up horror).
Currently reading it right now! My September TBR changed slightly haha so I'm actually working on the last 20 pages of the Passage right now. I'm really enjoying it and wish I had read it sooner. I'll probably be doing a specific series review video of it soon.
I loved Agents of Dreamland I believe the other book is called Black Helicopter's. Congratulations on the Job's. Would love to hear about this writing gig someday, but only if you wanna share about that of course.
Good luck with the jobs. I read Monster She Wrote it's a great book. I took many notes for further reading. I found many authors that I want to read in the future and like you said many I never even heard of. One everyone knows Mary Shelly, I want to read her post-apocalyptic novel The Last Man.
I loved The Passage, but I never got round to reading books 2 and 3. I think I'll have to go back and read the first one though because I feel like I've forgotten 50% of it.
Hey I saw the video of your book collection. Great collection.

Adrian McKinty-“The Chain”, best book I’ve read this year.

I loved Clown In A Cornfield! Fast paced and super fun! Other than the characters being teenagers, it really doesn't feel like a YA novel. Enjoy!
I keep hearing great things about Clown in a Cornfield!
I have Vita Nostra, but still haven't read it yet. I keep hearing good things about.

Another great video! -Oh no, a book about 9/11! I stop my addition to researching that event for long periods of time--then pulled back in.

Enjoyed Clown in a Cornfield very much :-) Will start with CJ Tudor soon...have her first two novels here.
Have you considered making a classics book haul? Do you read classic books?
