Glad a video was put together, but the digital tutorial on the website is 1000x better at introducing new players to the rule set. If you're a veteran of TCGs its easy to pick up, but with the IPs hopefully bringing in new players this video can make the game seem a lot more confusing than it actually is
Sad part? I've liked all the games they have put out lately, be they digital or card game. With the card games, they release enough for some decks and a draft box, which is EXACTLY what I look for.
Yes and no because yes, it would be nice to hand draw new artwork just for the TCG but as a business it is much easier and simpler to use artwork they already drawn for the manga/anime
I just started getting into Weiss and going to locals to play against other Weiss players. I love being able to play your fav anime against other animes but I’m not to sure how popular this game will be
Nice. Weiss is fun and what I enjoy about it the most is the simplicity that it doesn’t require any energy or counters to play. The problem with Weiss is finding a reliable and consistent group to play with most card shops in my area discontinued Weiss tourneys as they can’t find enough players to compete.
See this children? This is how you design a game thats gonna die in a year. Make sure it has cluncky rules and multiple untap steps for practicaly no reason.
well this game flopped in japan and it will in english countries too. game is just not fun and too complicated to start out. at least op is fun to play lol
@@vehicledestroyer game actually had a massive rebound in JP and is doing a lot of special 1 year anniversary stuff right now. A number of JP TCG content creators have talked about how surprised they are on how the game revived itself

I prefer One Piece because there is more interaction. Interaction is what makes a Card Game interesting and fun: Block, Counter, Card effects. To make some attacks more powerful with Don-Cards is also fun. In One Piece TCG you have to calculate, it is not just about beeing lucky, you have to use brain :D. Make more Card Games like One PIece or Poker, where you have to decide and interact a lot. A Card should be able to use in many different ways. That's the key!
This seems kinda convoluted. I'm still very confused... But I don't think I really care too much I guess. The cards look tacky tbh... I think I'll just stick to One Piece personally.
@@SparkShadow212lol they just brainrotted or something. Literally only able to play Go Fish. They need to play modern yugioh before saying a resource-management game is complicated
@@SparkShadow212 its not that complicated but its clunky, thats what people are complaining about. It needed more design time to better smooth the games core structure out.

It’s basically Magic Pokémon and yugioh combined plus anime I’m in take my fucking money please. Only thing is I don’t know how they will expand other than alt art. Seems like a board game tcg tbh
This game fails on two fronts for me... 1. Its using screen shots from the anime for a majority of its cards. 2. The gameplay has to many extra steps/concepts that needed more time to cook and smooth out. Untapping/readying at the end of turn but having to play the card tapped so there is a ton of unnecessary cards being moved around. The action point system on top of the energy system just over complicates playing cards to overcomplicate it. Raid's real use seems to be untapping to get extra attacks, it moving between rows seems kind of point less most of the time - yes it means the character can help pay for its cost but that just means they added an extra to its cost already to account for that. I will say that I am interested in front/back row being utilized though for strategy to protect things.
This seemed so difficult. Mentioning effects like impact in the middle of the game with no clarification doesn't help at all. Do better at training videos

Honestly, im just hoping the jjk decks will be fun. And that the games just take like 10 minutes
Fhis feels like they added unnecessary steps just to make it different
Yeah idk why they would build a card game that uses 2 separate resource pools as a cost to get cards out. Or at least that’s what it seems like it is
They did like the most basic plays and I had already many questions regarding energy ㅋㅋ
Can we just bring back Duel Masters so we don’t have to play all the clones ?
