The Rio Hondo Loop starts in Peck Rd Park and follows the Rio Hondo Bike Trail down to San Gabriel Blvd by Whittier Narrows. The Loop swings North on the San Gabriel River Bike Trail to the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area. The route then continues slightly uphill north and eventually runs parallel to San Gabriel Canyon Rd.
