Love your videos, they got me back into VR and I appreciate that!
It's great how both you and the AI are subject to the physics in chases which makes it equally unpredictable. I'm used to NFS' fully controlled physics and rubber banding AI so this looks so realistic.
I'd been waiting for this update for years! I'd never tried beamng before because there was no vr and I was used to vr on assetto corsa.
I'm so glad vr is finally here, I bought the game as soon as I heard it had vr.
At first I was disappointed because I had a lot of trouble setting up the game so that vr would run smoothly, but now it's fine, it could still be improved in future updates, but it's already good enough, I'm having so much fun, it's so good!
This looks awesome! Finally a simulation that's not just about driving round and round a track!
That's the kind of game that challenges my VR legs XD
Ah yes thank you for reminding me they added a VR mode to BeamNG! I remember seeing the update but it's been so long since I used VR I forgot they added it. Gotta try it soon
Started to get the hang of it, actual lol bud. Nice vid.
This is amazing! Thanks dude! You are the best
There’s also a fully working multiplayer mod. :)
I got this game like a decade ago, it's definitely a forever early access
Loving this Mod.
Looks good, gonna give it a shot in VR soon.
Great video title💯
Holy shit imma download this asap
Overall the original Assetto Corsa is still my favorite motorsports sim. I think it has some of the best Force Feedback, Wheel support, VR support and mod-ability of any racing sim. I've put like 500+ hours into it. VR is perfect for racing sims
I've read several comments on Steam about the troubled vr support, which is why I'll probably wait a bit longer to buy the game. Looks already good though, I already see myself cruising around while listening to music.
Well it's experimental and only on the Vulkan renderer, but the game itself is great on regular screen anyways
are you going to make a video about the quest 3
It's really nice to see this update but the realism comes with a cost, the LOD of the enviroment. The heavy pop in kills immersion for me as I tend to notice it in an instant. On a monitor screen it's the same but not as noticable as if you were in the game like in VR. There is a mod that lets you cramp up the lod but then even the 4090 says "nope, I am out". Since BeamNG is still in EA and on version 0.3.0 I hope it gets more optimisation as it's a fun car sim.
Yes, the lod is pretty bad, but with this mod if you set it to 250 it'll be the best compromise allowing you to get something decent (not perfect but so much better) without eating up too much fps.
I've got a rtx 2080 S and I manage to get between 45 and 75 fps on the Italy map for example. I deactivate ambient oclusion, reflection at minimum, normal lighting quality, very low shadow quality, low texture quality.
It's important to keep an eye on your vram to make sure it's not saturated during the game, always restart the game after changing graphics settings, launch VR mode from the game menu and not after loading the map.
You able to do a video on some decent webxr VR games? Feel like its really starting to take off as of late.
I wonder if you turn the gfx all the way to low if a 2060 gfx card could run all the content in the game
I find it funny that when your crashing your just acting all neutra😂 just wondering, where you using a steering wheel when you where playing or where you using a keyboard?
Im using a wheel
This looks very interesting, especially the open world with AI traffic which is what I like the most. Is there an option to show hands on the steering wheel, I'd really like that, it's kind wierd without hands.
Not at the moment, the main game doesnt have any hands/arms either.
This game is to dam hard but love it - but to hard
Do you need to buy it extra for VR if you have the desktop version?
The desktop version work in VR.
it's better for these developers to make something like *havok* out of this technology for use in other games
I was very excited to try this but the performance was terrible on my 4090 rig
I have a 2080s and I'm able to set up the game so that it's playable. How many fps do you average?
I honestly thought a Forza game would get VR support before Beamng, guess I was proven wrong.
I dont see VR support listed on steam... is it true?
It is, you have to make sure to launch in Vulkan mode and then when the game has loaded press the insert key to activate VR
Do you need a sim wheel?
It helps but plenty of people play with a gamepad
The game normaly runs fine but the vr version is still in experimental stages so it runs bad on a bad pc
Vomit simulator.
Not for me
You mean it got VR mod? Steam doesn't have VR support. Never mind I don't care about the game.
No, its official VR support. You have to launch the game in Vulkan mode then press insert on your keyboard to activate VR
@@virtualinsider Oh okay, keep up the good work.
