God bless Cyndi Lauper! Very modest, very genuine! MAN, I love her! Still do to this day! Dick Clark's favorite and friendliest artist to interview according to him from Best Of Bandstand.
Me too, I was totally in love and lust with her, Just thought she was gorgeous, kooky and absolutely different and wildly unusual. Loved her clothes, chains and gloves.
Her speaking voice sounds like a lil child. But she never gets annoying. She is so sincere and honest. She exudes love, not in a sexual way but, pure love when she talks.
People think she's from Queens, but she's really from Brooklyn..other people think she's from Philly because she started out with Philly musicians. But she's from New York and we love our girl here! Girls just wanna have fun!!
Rick Derringer was her guitarist on tour in 1984. I saw that video some weeks ago. You can hear her voice best in the old "Blue Angel" tracks like I’m "Gonna Be Strong" "Blue Angel featuring Cyndi Lauper - I’m Gonna Be Strong • TopPop" on YT
I REMEMBER IN 1984 MY MOM WAS A FLIGHT ATTENDANT FOR CONTINENTAL AIRLINES AND I WAS SITTING IN THE LOUNGE WHERE THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WERE AND THIS GUY COMES RUNNING IN AND HE'S LIKE MY SISTER'S GOING TO BE ON AMERICAN BANDSTAND AND HE TAKES HER ALBUM OUT AND HE PUTS IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE TV NEXT TO A COUCH ON THE FLOOR I WAS 11 YEARS OLD AND HE TURNS THE T.V. ONTO AMERICAN BANDSTAND AND DICK CLARK HOLDS UP THE ALBUM COVER AND SAYS CYNDI LAUPER AND I LOOKED DOWN AND I SAW THE SAME ALBUM COVER ON THE FLOOR NEXT TO THE TV AND MY EYES GET WIDE 😲😳I'M LIKE OH MY GOODNESS! IT WAS SO AWESOME WHEN I WENT BACK TO SCHOOL AND I TOLD EVERYONE IN THE CAFETERIA AND...NO ONE BELIEVED ME!😁🥰🤭 I'VE LOVED HER EVER SINCE SHE'S SO AMAZING AND CAREFREE THE WAY SHE DANCES WITHOUT HER SHOES! I LOVED HER SPEAKING VOICE JUST AS MUCH AS I LOVE HER SINGING VOICE 🥰! SHE JUST SEEMS LIKE SUCH A SWEET SOUL! I WISH I COULD MEET HER SO I COULD TELL HER THIS STORY😁🥰🤭!
Many performers don't wear shoes onstage.. Joss Stone and Ronnie Vanzant for example..Ronnie said he wanted to feel the heat from the stage. I think Cyndi is clumsy and would break her ankles if she wore shoes
@@vincentwhitley8197 I think Linda Ronstadt didn’t either, or at least took them off during the show. As a little kid I was too young to catch on to it back then watching her (Cyndi) but now that I’ve re-watched so many of those interviews & performances I think maybe you are right. Even more b/c of the more modern interviews…which endeared her to me even more b/c she describes herself as a 🤬 up. She always seemed like such a sweet, fun & quirky person…we usually are pretty clumsy & in all honesty, 🤬 ups. Really cool when you figure out how to use it to your success instead of letting it drag you down. Such a cool lady🧡
Cyndy Lauper could sure play the high pitched outragious voice dumb Red Head / Blonde in the 80s . But really she has been pretty brilliant in life and Music 😍✨🌟💫💥🔥🙉🙈😏😎🌈🌋😳😉🤔🙄👌
I remember once Dick Clark saying that he Thought that it was going to be Cindy the One that was going to make it BIG around the world, and Not Madonna. He was betting more on Cindy that on Madonna on World Fame and Sucsess back in 1984.
I grew up in the 80s and did not appreciate this lady at the time - my loss. She's talented and intelligent.
Rage Theatre2020 I don’t recall these interviews and I couldn’t agree more.
I also agree. I took her talents for granted as a kid. Much of her persona was an act that she later chose to step away from.
I had a chance to see her at a small venue in the '80s and missed out... I thought she was more of a "girl" singer...
SO did i, i used to think she was ugly and weird, now i think she is beautiful and normal
Same here. The interviews surprised me a lot. She just takes over from the host, everytime.
How could anybody dislike this woman?
I can.
@@JimNedCreek Such is life.

Gotta love her voice haha 😁❤
REAL Hayabusa: I wonder how she sounds now as she got older
*She's still so unusual, Cyndi for ever, more important she's the same humble girl from Brooklyn even today*
"I sang before I talked, and I hope I still sing when I'm ready to leave this world too."
Probably the nicest, most intelligent and talented celebrity.
God bless Cyndi Lauper!
Very modest, very genuine!
MAN, I love her! Still do to this day!
Dick Clark's favorite and friendliest artist to interview according to him from Best Of Bandstand.
I love Cyndi so much.
I hope that hard Brooklyn accent never dies in NYC.
My favourite of all the accents in America.
I love you Cyndi, you are the absolute best
So adorable

She is so adorable
Damn she's a beautiful human being

one of my first memories is being in love with her. cant relate to you guys that couldn't appreciate her.

Being originally from Philadelphia, I really can appreciate her bringing him a box of Tastykakes !
The is only one. Cyndi Lauper.
LOVE HER !!!!!
Her speaking voice sounds like a lil child. But she never gets annoying. She is so sincere and honest. She exudes love, not in a sexual way but, pure love when she talks.
not only does she sounds like a child, but acts like one. it's kind of silly to see it nowadays.
check out the difference
3:24 and 3:33
:D
she mostly talked in that higher voice in TV shows
At 3:17 if you put your ear to the the speaker or turn it up you could hear her tummy gurgle.

She’s from Queens. Born and Raised.
Shes só cute...
Don’t let her voice fool you. Her singing voice is extremely powerful. The background vocals on Rick Derringer’s Real American….yeah that’s her.

And now, in 2024, she announces her farewell tour. I have my tickets. It’s sad she’s giving up the road but at least she’s going out strong!
So cute girl

She was Thirty years old here. People forget, she was born in 1953.
@@plawson8577 Yeah , she was 5 years older than her competition like Madonna , Michael Jackson , and Prince .

Eu só queria ver essa entrevista dublada 😔
👏👏👏👏
why there's only the interview and not the complete performance?
Smart.
Did you ever hear her changing her voice in one sentence ?
2:07 voice getting lower 2:19
2:55 to 3:33 normal voice
Go into the light Carol Ann....
É esquisita mais sou fã dela
Sweet woman
Any updates?
Is she from Tennessee? 😂
New York?
She got a nice voice but she's hiding something:/
You wanna know what she's hiding? It's not her real voice she talks like that for the fame.. Watch her tv show. She talks normal.
Joanna Sanchez it’s ok because her talent and personality is real
@@StMichael7 hey i do not disagree! I am just saying she don't talk like that. God forbid I talk bad about your girlfriend Cyndi. Lol

what are those awful bumps on her skin ??? ewwwwww !!!
