Catherine you’re so clever! I’ve been looking at pre-made wheelie bin cupboards but they cost a fortune. This video is perfectly timed, thank you lovely lady xxx
Now your entry way is so pretty ? Ya can't forget to take out your trash but you can forget to water ! So now your flowers are right where you see and enjoy them by the water hose ❣️
Thank goodness here in Cyprus we don't have wheelie bins, we have huge green bins along the roads so it's no great hardship to just walk to to put your rubbish in and they emptied twice a week. In my back garden (which is tiny) I have 2 medium sized gas tanks which I've got a wooden cover for. I've made it so that I can lift the top off in order to replace the gas tanks. I've also got a plant hospital corner for any plants that aren't doing very well. It's great to grow your own veg. I've got cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and spring onions growing and I've got a long wooden box for all my herbs. FYI cilantro is actually coriander 😊 Keep up the great work your garden is looking lovely.
What I love about this and many of your vids is that they are fun the first time. But a really helpful resource when we want to make something later. Going to try this 😊
Been a subscriber for a wee while now but this is my first comment. Just wanted to say you're a breath of fresh air! Your garden and your home does you proud! Both are beautiful as you are, inside and out. You're a very clever lassie and I look forward to my Thursday fix to see what you've made. I've copied a few of your "inventions" lol and they make me smile when I look at them. Keep on keepin on! 🌸🌺🌸❤️
I love your videos. I love your energy. I love your positivity. I especially love how you do almost everything in a dress! At 71, I don’t even own a dress anymore. I grew up on a farm and always wore jeans. I really feel comfortable in pants, but I wish I was as comfortable in a dress as you are.
That's a gorgeous idea to hide many an unsightly thing in the garden! I love that Ireland has designates bins for recycling and a proper system for it. It's something I wish SA would start too! Thanks for the video. I hope you and yours are well.
Thanks Alyssa, yea, I remember as a kid we had one big black bin for everything, no recycling, you had to go to a bottle bank. Now we have the three bins which is great x
Yes, she is my favorite UA-camr. I love that she does whatever she wants. I'm not as brave as she is yet. I have been working as a home improvement's assistant for over a year, and I'm still scared to do much on my own at my house. I still have so much to learn. Use all the tools without fear now. I was terrified of the tile saw at first. Think I'm scared I'll make a total mess and have to bother my boss to come fix whatever I've messed up....lol
Once again women you amaze me! I can only imagine how beautiful your little cozy beautiful home looks inside and out! Really i have learned so much from watching your videos and enjoy every minute of it thank you so much for all the inspiration ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a brilliant idea to hide the ugly bins we have to use . Your such a tiny tot but always willing to try . Your plants have come on really really well . Roll on Thursday x
You've inspired me to build a surround for the bins. And... I fry Zucchini (American:) with a little parmesan cheese then scramble an egg next to it in the pan. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm.
AMAZING! Where I live is very hot, and I can only grow hydrangeas in the shade and I must water them. I have gorgeous flowers in June, but by the end of July they go green. They are my favorite flowers, so I have been making arrangements out of the green flowers, let them dry up and use them all winter! PS We have found that if we pick our zucchini when they are smaller they taste better. The larger they are, the more fibrous they tend to be.
you don't want the zucchini/corgette to get too big, they become sort of watery and tasteless when they get big. Everything looks wonderful! Such great success with your veggies and that wheelie bin cover is amazing! You are an inspiration. Loads of wonderful things to. make with your zucchini... I just made a chocolate zucchini cake yesterday.
I wanted to try something like this for awhile now. My trash cans sit in my driveway and are so ugly to look at. Maybe I’ll give this a go finally! Well done girlie!
Will definitely give this ago to hide my bins.. Going to put a cross rail on the front part instead of a heavy post in the center for strength... I didn't even think of putting wheels on but it makes sense.. Your veg ect are looking good.... All the best keep the ideas coming.... 💡👏👏👏👍
Brilliant.. And your garden is looking fantastic.. You have such green fingers!.. Really beautiful!.. It's starting to look like a real cottage garden. Yes the Americans use the German word.. Zucchini.. They have a lot more German influence in their language.
Love that idea. Bins are an eyesight. I too grow things in boxes but miss kimmy cat though they were a useful litter tray so I’ve had to raise them all !!!!
A bin cover you wheel away is a clever idea. I might make one but the top at the same height as my.bins so i can simply reach over and lift up the lids without moving the whole cover every time. Nice work!
This is exactly what I've been thinking about for covering up my trash and recycling cans on my car port. I thught aobut the construction, (out of lattice) but didn't think about the wheels. Excellent idea!! Thank you !!!! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thats brilliant what a difference.ive seen where you can buy them but the prices are stupid and even better yours is on wheels so easy.well done your so clever. I missed blondie this week.
Hi Catherine, your garden looks wonderful, you have done a great job. The courgettes grow so quickly, take your eyes off them and before you know it they are huge. The large ones are great for soup, boil up with onions and chicken stock then blitz them, delish.
I just love your little garden! The bin is perfect! I would like that to hide my garbage can. I have to keep mine in the front of my house by my garage! It’s a eye sore!
I think that you did a fantastic job with the cover! I have been thinking about doing one for our ac unit. It would have to have quite abit of space around it for air flow, but... ideas! and one of the things that I love to do with zucchini is grate it and use it in bread. like banana bread only with zucchini! thanks so much for sharing! xoxo
Hello Dainty! That is a major boss Zuchini ! Nice as a veggie, grated into delicious muffin batter (sweet) stewed as a veggie mixed with tomatoes . 7-8 inches is a good size. Your Flowers did so very well. Your bin project was excellent. Here in our part of the US we call them "Herby the Curbys"... Glad to see you, from rainy here in Up state NY. Love the bin cover, that is exactly what I had in mind for mine, next year, great effort, well done... Think I may put plastic flower pots on the front, here and there, just to break it up a bit...
This was awesome, we live in a block of four flats and since we moved in , it's become a small community. All the boarders are planted and lawns cut by Lisa but with 8 wheeled bins that's a lot . We have our two on our side and the other six in the bin area , only because it was built lol a flat row of slabs .. for 4 bins before recycling was invented. I've made some drawings for them to fit two bins in for ours then .. 2x 3 bins 1 for the 3 recycling bins and another for the 3 black bins . I'm very excited to do these but I'm going to have to lock them to the wall 🤣😂🤣so they hopefully don't disappear during the night. I get so many great ideas from you , thanks once again , hopefully Lisa will get the wood next week 🤗 Stay safe stay well xxx
Great idea for our wheelie bin’s, I have 3 also and a food bin, recycling box and a bag for cardboard. Your garden look’s amazing, I hope you share with us what you make with your huge courgette. It will taste great whatever you make because you grew it. Have a good week 😊💖
Hi Catherine, my zucchini’s are wonderful, I’ve made noodles, lasagna, bread and shredded it for soups. Yum. Your wheelie bin cover is great. Also, backyard flowers and veggies are so pretty.
Great job, as usual. I think a lot of Irish are natural builders. I'm glad you included your outdoor pub, near the end of the video. I was concerned something happened to it.
Your flowers are gorgeous and yep trash cans are so ugly. One year I put up lattice around mine and planted a clematis in front of it. I didn't have to move mine to get to my bin so it worked out well. You could also put garden art on your bin cover. Stay well ❣️
Love your wheelie bins! Cilantro and parsley are two different plants (in Canada) and we also call the squash 'zucchini'. But don't let it get too big because it won't taste good! If you have lots, harvest them small and they will keep producing more. Love your channel! 💚

I was looking for a bin cover that would not require me putting post in cement and this is perfect!! I think you are just precious! I have daughters your age I wish would do woodwork but don’t. In Texas but hope to visit Ireland someday.
Catherine, your garden is so lovely and cute! Cilantro/coriander is is easy to grow! I live more in a hot area in California and grew it in large pots on my COVERED patio! The sun was too much. I also had to make a raised bed with shade cloth for my tomatoes sun was too much. Love watching! Grandma KATHY FROM CALIFORNIA!
First time viewer, loved this idea. I'd suggest adding a window box along the sides as added adornment or maybe pot loops to hold pretty little pots. I have a few more bins and don't have a fence to place them against, so I might do one four sided, with one side hinged for easy access when I have heavy items to add and need to be closer to the bin. Very cute idea.
Love that when you get an idea you just DO it. I overthink everything! Zucchini bread is yummy!
Wheelie bins are such an eyesore, that looks great as does your garden🌸
Thank you Patricia x x x x x
Wheelie Bin is a more charming name than trash/garbage can!😄

You are absolutely fearless!! Also, I love that you wear a cute dress to work in the garden!! (I wear old dungarees and a faded tee-shirt!)🌻❤️
Thanks Nancy, I think I might get a set of overalls for Winter x
