Yay!! I wish I could use these! And I’ll definitely keep them in mind if we ever change up curriculum. My school uses Superkids and it takes up almost 2 hours a day including word work, reading and writing and they have pretty good decodables included. I chose just to introduce Secret Stories and Rime Magic this year to supplement (inspired by you of course)
Thank you sooo much for doing this video…. Even though I teach young preschoolers I still love learning all about the science of reading and all that it offers teachers and students….
Do they have any independent reading time? If so, what does that look like and what books are they reading on their own? I’ve been letting my kids take their small group books and keep them in their book bags but they are not always interested in that.
I watch as they read. You can also cover pictures with sticky notes, it's a classic trick to help you know! Jen also includes one-pagers that have all text and no pictures. The decodables are just organized in a way so that the skills the students are exposed to are controlled and developing!
I absolutely love Jen’s decodables and you did an excellent job explaining how to use them and how to set groups. Thank you for sharing!! ❤❤
Thank you very much for taking the time to explain about the decodable books. I will definitely buy the decodable books.

I bought her decodable books on TPT because of you and Katie from Secret Stories talking so much about them! I am so excited to use them this year! ☺️

Thank you so much!! Great information! ☺️
How many books do they have for small groups? For example, the book 1 series...how many book 1 books do they have for each child? Thanks.
Where can you find the the heart word sheet for mapping the sight words that you showed in the video?
Yes, we need another video with the secret stories
