I love Joey and Pacey's relationship. A lot of TV relationships feel rushed, out of nowhere, but theirs happened over a long..long..time 😂 and it felt real. It really helps you connect to the characters in a way you usually can't.
Me too. I know everyone talks about Pacey and Joey's relationship, because it was truly epic and was so much fun to watch their love grow and develop. However, people seem to forget that he was also an amazing boyfriend to Andie, he was so understanding and supportive of her. Joey was my favourite character from day one, but I didn't see what an amazing guy Pacey was until he got together with Andie, it showed who he truly was underneath that cocky, glib persona. Ugh, I just love Pacey.
Dawson’s Creek is the goat. When I was a kid, I was on Dawson’s side. Now that I’m an adult, I understand Pacey more. Pacey taught me how to be attentive to women.

Facts. Dawson was that obvious match for Joey. Love that this episode is called "Cinderella Story" and it's where Pacey and Joey have their first (real) kiss. It's like she finally finds the prince charming she's been longing for. ❤ Also, can we just acknowledge the fact that Pacey drove all night long just to pick Joey up and bring her home. I remember watching this when it first aired when I was about 15. I'd been hoping they would get together for pretty much the whole season and then this scene happened. I was so happy, I'd never been so invested in a fictional relationship and I haven't been since. The chemistry between Katie and Joshua is undeniable and their performances are incredible. I'm glad she chose Pacey in the end, he was a much better fit for Joey romantically. She and Dawson were better off as friends.
Joey and Dawson will always be best friends, they were afraid to move on and away from each other but there was no spark in their relationship.. whereas Joey and Pacey were True Love :) .. the way Paceys eyes would light up everytime he was with Joey shows she was the only one for him from the beginning. Pacey was also Joeys first long term boyfriend and she let her heart speak and not her mind. Everytime she was with Dawson it was always complicated and both over analysed everything. I’m glad the show ended the way it did.. just beautiful and sweet for them.

Anyone who's watched the show from beginning to end knows they kiss in season 1, but there kiss in season 3 was more meaningful in my opinion because despite Joey's reaction, she kissed him back, It was a start of their relationship together and it wasn't just a physical attraction for Pacey like in season 1, they truly became friends and their feelings for each other grew deeper. Dawson was never on the same level as Joey and Pacey. Pacey was always the better man and I'm glad they were endgame.

its a silly show - but it did highlight an important difference between what a friend (Dawson) feels like and the spark that a romance feels like (Pacey)
they really took it to another level by bringing pacey and joey together. the first time i can actuallly feel chemistry between two characters, even though i like the rest of the show aswell. they really peaked in the second half of season 3. the slow build up to their first kiss is so good it feels like the whole show is just built around it to happen.
P&J are amazing. What I really liked about this show is that the main character didn't get the girl. This show showed us that just the fact of being BF doesn't mean that they have to be together. Dawson was Joey's first love. Their love was so pure but it was related to their chilhood. Then Joey fell for Pacey and Joey experienced another kind of love. They broke up but still being friends there were always sparks between them. All of them were soulmates: P&J as lovers, Pacey and Dawson and D&J as BF.
I was being spoiled when I saw “dawson and joey’s wedding” title when I opened youtube but I never opened the video. And when I’m on the last season, actually it makes me shock when it just only a dream 😅 but I’m happy with the ending…. Especially the moment when Pacey once said in the last episode in his kitchen restaurant “the simple act of being in love you is enough for me” its like his love for Joey is so pure, when he always compliments Joey how amazing she is. Goshhh! I’m in love with this series and never get enough of this!
To all of us this was there first kiss. The one in season 1 doesn't really count since she didn't kiss him back because she was the hung up for her feelings for dawson. But it took her time to realize how she really felt about him.
Their chemistry was undeniable and truly sickening! I Their love story had LESSONS TO LAST A LIFETIME no bullshit. They can call the show corny blah blah blah.. but it truly served its purpose then and is still doing it now.
This is one of the most realistic depictions about a confession/first kiss in TV history. No melodrama, just plain old confusion/harboring crush/heartache.

Joey and Pacey are the best love story ever written. I have searched for two decades and never found one that is even getting close. If anyone has some recommendations - be it a movie, serier or book, please share here! The only other one that is also really good for me is Pride and Prejudice (book is the best). Some korean dramas also gove a fix but again - not even close to Joey and Pacey.

I remember watching this when it first aired when I was about 15. I'd been hoping they would get together for pretty much the whole season and then this scene happened. I was so happy, I'd never been so invested in a fictional relationship and I haven't been since. The chemistry between Katie and Joshua is undeniable and their performances are incredible. I'm glad she chose Pacey in the end, he was a much better fit for Joey romantically. She and Dawson were better off as friends.

Joey and Dawson will always be best friends, they were afraid to move on and away from each other but there was no spark in their relationship.. whereas Joey and Pacey were True Love :) .. the way Paceys eyes would light up everytime he was with Joey shows she was the only one for him from the beginning. Pacey was also Joeys first long term boyfriend and she let her heart speak and not her mind. Everytime she was with Dawson it was always complicated and both over analysed everything. I’m glad the show ended the way it did.. just beautiful and sweet for them.

Anyone who's watched the show from beginning to end knows they kiss in season 1, but there kiss in season 3 was more meaningful in my opinion because despite Joey's reaction, she kissed him back, It was a start of their relationship together and it wasn't just a physical attraction for Pacey like in season 1, they truly became friends and their feelings for each other grew deeper. Dawson was never on the same level as Joey and Pacey. Pacey was always the better man and I'm glad they were endgame.
The kiss on season 1, doesn't count, IMO. They were friends, absolutely nothing more than that. But this time... A tension between them had been growing, making it count.

Also, the kiss wasn't based on friendship and nothing more, in the episode Pacey became attracted to Joey and kissed her because of it, HE wanted to to be more than friends, SHE didn't, that doesn't make it any less of a first kiss.

they really took it to another level by bringing pacey and joey together. the first time i can actuallly feel chemistry between two characters, even though i like the rest of the show aswell. they really peaked in the second half of season 3. the slow build up to their first kiss is so good it feels like the whole show is just built around it to happen.
P&J are amazing. What I really liked about this show is that the main character didn't get the girl. This show showed us that just the fact of being BF doesn't mean that they have to be together. Dawson was Joey's first love. Their love was so pure but it was related to their chilhood. Then Joey fell for Pacey and Joey experienced another kind of love. They broke up but still being friends there were always sparks between them. All of them were soulmates: P&J as lovers, Pacey and Dawson and D&J as BF.

I was being spoiled when I saw “dawson and joey’s wedding” title when I opened youtube but I never opened the video. And when I’m on the last season, actually it makes me shock when it just only a dream 😅 but I’m happy with the ending…. Especially the moment when Pacey once said in the last episode in his kitchen restaurant “the simple act of being in love you is enough for me” its like his love for Joey is so pure, when he always compliments Joey how amazing she is. Goshhh! I’m in love with this series and never get enough of this!

To all of us this was there first kiss. The one in season 1 doesn't really count since she didn't kiss him back because she was the hung up for her feelings for dawson. But it took her time to realize how she really felt about him.
Their chemistry was undeniable and truly sickening! I Their love story had LESSONS TO LAST A LIFETIME no bullshit. They can call the show corny blah blah blah.. but it truly served its purpose then and is still doing it now.
This is one of the most realistic depictions about a confession/first kiss in TV history.

No. This is their first kiss because it was mutual. It didn't matter if they "spent the whole day together" on a school project. Joey FLAT OUT rejected the kiss the second Pacey went in to kiss her. She didn't "catch attraction" to him just because they spent hours together. That was all Pacey and it was one sided. A kiss isn't a "kiss" between two people, if it's one-sided. So *THIS* is their first kiss. Period.

Joey and Pacey are the best love story ever written. I have searched for two decades and never found one that is even getting close. If anyone has some recommendations - be it a movie, serier or book, please share here! The only other one that is also really good for me is Pride and Prejudice (book is the best). Some korean dramas also gove a fix but again - not even close to Joey and Pacey.
This exact scene (which I caught in a preview on the now defunct WB...) is why I watched the series. It's still my favorite after all these years.
