Hell yeah Mitch! So stoked to see you do a spot for GCN, you're a great presenter and really enjoyable to listen to. I saw you interview Phil Liggett at the TDU and you were excellent. GCN give this man more segments!!!
Still rates as my favorite cycle experience...riding the PR sportive. So much learning on bike handling. Even took Mrs B to try rolling along Arrenburg. Great content GCN.
Awesome style of video! Love seeing Mitch playing winner in the Roubaix velodrome, I have to say I did the exact same thing when I visited a few years ago
A good choice for presenter of such an epic race, and I think the modesty of Mitch shows through, for anyone who is not aware Mitch suffered significantly in one of the worst crashes in the Arenburg forest in recent history in the very same race his team mate Matt Hayman took his historical win in Roubaix.
I visit the velodrome last year. The staff were so welcoming. Bucket list moment. Afterwards we went on to visit the Flanders Museum. What a contrast. In Belgium cycling is worshipped in Northern France is tolerated
We should introduce the 'Mitch Moustache Moment', a moment when you can see the passion and love for cycling in somebody so clearly that it works inspring. The enthousiasm in het pedalling, the colour in his voice.
wow brilliant, GCN, Mitch Docker .... the real deal! get it. we did a ride in Melbourne, he turns up like anyone else, took a photo with him, followed his wheel, he did all this cause he loves cycling, he has the passion, the spirit and has lived it.
@@gcn women Paris Roubaix is such an incredible race we have been deprived for much too long. Best period to be a lover of all cycling sport things. 👏🏼👏🏼
Great to see Mitch and the Kirk back together. MItch took a real hit in the Arenberg when Matthew Hayman won in 2016 and the Kirk was instrumental of the Greenedge"s best monments in the time he was with them. Like Mitch, Hayman and O"Grady were two of the Australians that loved PR and drew many of us to love watching those that could win this race.
Adding my comment to sing Mitch's praises! I recently became a cycling fan (like 3 weeks ago ha) and I've just been on a cycling video binge. This video is a perfect entry for new fans. Good mix of information and entertainment!
That was brilliant. I love Paris Roubaix. It excites me more than any other race. I'm going to be controversial and say I love it more than the Tour, which I do love too. Can't wait for the race. Wout for the mens race. Lotte Kopecky for the womens.
2016 Mitch waking up after surgery from his crash . The nurse says’ Matthew Hayman won the race’ Yes Mitch says Mathew Hayman was in the race. The nurse says ‘no Mathew Hayman won the race’ Incredible stuff! Memories for a lifetime
Love it when Mitch makes an appearance! Also loving all the Paris-Roubaix content this week. Sure with GCN+ carried the race in North America! NOT a fan of FB and refuse to pay $150/year for what they have to offer. For that matter, NBC needs to get out of the cycling game too! Thanks for all you do GCN!
great video ,,,,I will always remember Lizzie diegnans early break away ,to me it was one of the sporting moments that will always stay with me ,it's a shame it wasn't greatly publicised outside of the cycling press ,it would of been an excellent inspiration for young people
A great video! Mitch is a natural talent and his Life in the Peloton podcasts demonstrated that (check it out). Jens Keukeleire is also a nice bloke. Met him at the Ronde 11 years ago.
Man there is always that voice inside my head screaming over the radio: "Mitch crashed bad! Mitch crashed bad!!!" That crash inside Arenberg Forest is the stuff of nightmares
There's quite a few cobblestone sections where I live in North West of England the smaller ones usually on streets that haven't been resurfaced but then there's the back alley baby head cobbles like arenberg that jolt your body and loosen your fillings 😅 I couldn't imagine riding a 2300m section let alone at racing speed
Without even watching this video, we all know what it takes to win Roubaix...legs and luck. You have to have both. You can have Wout's legs, but if you suffer a flat or other mechanical at a crucial point, you've lost the race. If you suffer no mechanicals or flats but don't have the legs, you've lost the race. Now of course this is true in any race, but we all know that it's even more important on the cobbles. So brutal, both on the riders and their bikes. Which makes me think...maybe I need to throw mental toughness in there too. Getting pounded by cobbles for hours on end would make most people just sit up and cash in. This is my second favorite race of the year behind the Tour, and I'm going to have to pick Wout to win it this year.
Thanks for the comment Shep! Sounds like you really know your stuff, this is a race for the toughest of riders with a generous sprinkling of luck 🙌 Give the video a watch and see if we missed anything 👀
Cracking video. Mitch is very good - got such an easy style of presenting / being on video. Can you tell me though what is the name of the hotel they were at in th beginning - I am trying to find a decent base for doing my own roubaix exploration ride weekend. I am so excited for Saturday and Sunday....... gonna cut my club rides short to be back for them! Top Picks - Mens - Ganna / De lie Femmes - Kopecky / Vos
Just love Mitch’s videos. What a genuinely engaging bloke. Beside that, MvdP for the win! But would love Tom Pidcock to triumph! He may be way too light though…
Anyone looking out for Amber in today's race, she won't be there, she's waiting for surgery on an artery. But she's still only 23 so she's got plenty more chances ahead of her and she clearly loves this race. Jens will be racing on Sunday, though.
Can Mitch be featured more often please! Or just become a regular GCN presenter? Love his passion and knowledge and he's a great presenter!
It's going to be Mitch week this week 🙌 Turn on your notifications so you never miss a moment 🔔
Mitch is always good value listen to his Cape Epic podcast with Ian Boswell sublime
That's a great shout 👏
He’s got a very endearing manner.
Yes!
Mitch pushed me up a hill when I was struggling on a community ride years ago. He's the best!
Great stuff! What an engine to have you pushing you 💪 We've got some great GCN+ docs with Mitch 👉gcn.eu/TCOTR
How to win? you have to drive on the side of the road and avoid the cobblestones
Loving Mitch's GCN videos. His genuine passion and love of the race really comes through. ❤
Mitch Docker 🤝 Paris-Roubaix - A match made in heaven! Lot's more Mitch videos on there way soon 👀
@@gcn can't wait.

10:25 - Amber's voice being vibrated by the cobbles - brilliant!
Always great to have Mitch on GCN. Love his enthusiasm for Roubaix.
Mitch and Roubaix are a great combo! 🙌
This is an exceptional segment for GCN. Very well done. Engaging and showing the human side.
Really well said, Mitch just exudes child like passion that just cannot be dampened.🎩👏
Mitch is such a class guy, more please!
This is an absolute masterpiece, brings tears to my eyes, and I'm a mountain biker
Mitch is a GREAT addition to GCN. Wonderful presenter. More of him please!
More Mitch please GCN!! Infectious enthusiasm and love of it. Brilliant.
I did love the sneaky change to his old team Skil kit at the end!

Kinda like running the bases at a Major League Baseball diamond just like the Pros do. 🙂
After Mitch's participation in the Rapha Gone Racing series, he's an absolute natural here on GCN. Wonderful video!!
A heck of a tash/mullet combo. Up their with the great combos of all time. Mitch owns it. 🤘
Mitch is almost a throwback to the 80s. Mustache and mollet. Brilliant video!!!

Paris-Roubaix, what a dream to ride this course. Great video! It's encouraging to hear the pro's get as excited about this race as the fans
The sound on your riding interviews is phenomenal. Great job. Amazing,
More Mitch!!!! He’s a guy I’d like to ride with and have a beer thereafter!
Love the Docker!!! Much more of him please.

Love Paris Roubaix, a highlight of the year for me
Best race of the year? 👀
@@gcn I think so !
That mo, that mullet and the commentary: three things to like about this man!
That's a great documentary from the Doc !
Great seeing Docker after the Epic, what a great guy.
Great video! Mitch is a great presenter/interviewer. I really like his podcast too!
We need more of him on GCN
Peru Bay is also my favourite Race!
Brilliant overview - more Mitch and Mullet!!
When they're talking while riding on the cobbles, it has a kind of staccato effect on the voice 😄
Excellent video again Mitch! Very well done!
You can FEEL the vibration in their voices. 🤯
Feel it in your ears, you mean?

Mitch is such a down-to-earth bloke.
Nice one mate.
Nice inspiring video guys.....dreams come true at Roubaix.
Mitch D looks like Kevin Costner with that moustache, in the 1985 cycling movie American Flyers.
I don’t know what’s more epic… the segment of cobbles, the race or the mustache… love all three anyway…
What was your favourite win at Paris-Roubaix? 🪨
2018 Sagan
2016 Hayman
Hopefully Mads Pedersen 2023!!🎉
Hayman. As an Aussie I was stoked to see him win, especially off the back of an injury.
2016 Hayman

Cracking video. Roll on Roubaix on Sunday. As an Ineos fan last year was my favourite but as a cycling fan I’d say Hayman’s win in 2016 i’d say.
Both great wins🙌
Great video, Mitch is a natural presenter. I'm curious why he changed into different kit for the velodrome?

Nice content! :)) But even more interessting would be the analysis by one of the Podium guys from former PR races
The flying moustache!

I am a simple man. I see Mitch Docker, I click the video, I click like
With that moustache and mullet, Mitch needs to be riding a lugged steel frame with downtube shifters
Very true. And a cap no helmet or old style thin helmet...
Slick costume change at the end there, Mitch.
Tash and mullett….MD is a top guy, like to see Mitch & Lachlan together.
Wake up, new Mitch content just dropped!
Mitch clearly still has a feel for the cobbles, he's riding them like a pro. The old Skil Shimano pro kit still fits too.
Cool Mitch

Mitch is very cool. Wondered about his wheel size. There is so much clearance on the fork. Ita looking a bit odd.
Old bibs for the recon, Florian?

Cobbles are great news for rheumatologists and bearing producers 😏
