So I did purposely avoid putting in songs like Dammit and Basket Case, because who needs to hear them in every single one of these types of videos? Though I'm sure I'll be getting lots of "No Dammit?" comments anyway 😁🙄

@Andrew Glover It wasn't really a countdown, so it's not that relevant. I guess if you're talking about the most well known, it'd be up there, though I prefer M+M's personally.
No Dammit?
No Basket Case?
@@SugarpillProd awesome stuff! Have you ever seen the Blink video Reckless Abandon Live in Inglewood 2002? Tom does this mini breakdown intro while Mark talks and it would fit amazingly into your “Toms Best” series you do 🤘🏻
Pop punk is feels like summer time happiness
same with ska
That's why I love pop punk !!
Sum 41 pop punk kinda feels like winter time happiness ngl
@FOREVER TRAPPED I grew up listening to DTLI and Chuck on skiing holidays, but AKNF and HHOP are undoubtedly summer albums for me.
To me Bad Religion and Social Distortion remind me of summer, as that’s when I really started listening to punk
out of these particular bunch, i give it to dumpweed just because its the best start to an album
Tom has said he thinks it’s the best album opener they’ve ever had and I couldn’t agree more.
In my opinion I like the opening for Cheshire cat
How did I have a feeling I’d find you here lmao
I was unfortunately born a little to late to catch the heyday of the pop-punk era but I used to listen to many of these songs when I was younger in the late 2000s and early 10s and so a lot of these songs have become synonymous with my early years.
Always happy to see MxPx on a list.
Fuck. I forgot about MxPX
Yeah for real
Yeah they deserve more love🔥
Doing Time riff is so full of energy
life in general is one of my favorite albums
well someone's been playing tony hawk games lately :) nice dude!
My first thought as well! Awesome!
both the last songs are pro skater 4, my favourite from the series lol
@@rexhh3309 And the two before that were THPS3, one of my two favourites
Dumpweed and Not The Same are two riffs that will forever hold a place in my heart. So incredibly powerful and bring back waves of happiness everytime I hear them
Immediately turning this into a spotify playlist, 👍👍👍
hey! if you have made one pleaseeeereeee share it :D thank you!
Link?
Great selection! Surprised to see some UK bands in here like Busted and A! Starbucks is an awesome song!
Also, 3:51 - the greatest riff of all time!
Well I'm from the UK, so gotta represent, haha.
@@SugarpillProd Ah man, did not know that! Always assumed you were American for some reason!
@@SugarpillProd i am from the UK to and thanks for adding busted in your list
....one step closer to a face reveal
I came here for Rufio, and wasn't disappointed. #punkrawk
How did I know without even watching that dumpweed would be on here 😆 my favorite blink riff I think
I know they get shit on a lot but Good Charlotte deserves a spot on here. ‘Self titled’ and The Young and the Hopeless had some great riffs.
-Whats your favourite pop punk song?
-Blitzgreig Bop
There were lots of good riffs but I was so hyped to hear Rufio on here! That song is legendary!!
You have NO IDEA how long I've been looking for that particular song. First one too. Definitely iconic.
I’m so happy you put busted into this. I’ve been a huge fan of them for over 16 years now!
Was suprised damnit and fat lip werent in there. scotty doesn’t know is also a very iconic riff. but awesome video! always love your content!
Edit: Just saw you purposely didn’t put damnit in there, I respect that haha.
Busted yesssss!!!!!. I'm so glad you put them on this list cause they never get the recognition they deserve outside of the UK. Plus they have so many killer riffs🤘❤️
I was gonna throw a Son Of Dork song on the list too, but the video was getting a little long as it is, haha.
@@SugarpillProd OMG you gotta at some point put some Son Of Dork riffs in a video. I absolutely love Son Of Dork. Welcome To Loserville is an amazing album and highly underated ❤️
Busted definitely deserve more recognition! Agreed!
Great video🤘I’d probably throw some Descendents and Screeching Weasel riffs in there too, you can hear Tom Delonge’s influences so clearly
I had screeching weasel on the list actually, must've have an aneurysm when I was editing the video, haha.
@@SugarpillProd ahhh fair enough, still some great riffs there though.
Love the range of songs you picked here! Great job man and keep playing!
Dumpweed easily has the best riff out of any Blink song
I would say M&ms or Damnit
@@themiseast4638 and carousel
Absolute fucking GOAT for playing Blitzkrieg Bop with those bull barre chords
Body jar!!!!!!!!! Tony hawk 3 nostalgia!
Well i think simple plan, ataris, sr-71, afi, american hi fi should on the list. But overall, this is amazing
I wouldn't. You have an alt rock band in AFI that went through many facets genre wise and the rest are just blink copycats.
@@pantsnjacket381 Heyy, Teenage Bottlerocket are Ramones' copycats
American Hi-Fi put out a couple of killer records back in the day!
@@pantsnjacket381 if you are calling green day blink copy cats you can go f off
@@charlottestreet3301 no i'm not
Thank you for stuff, dude. Your channel criminally underrated, i'm enjoying every your video!
That teenage bottlerocket riff is hype
5:45 blink totally ripped this off in asthenia
Glad you included doing time. Mxpx is so underrated
everytime i have to find happiness in life again i go back to this
Im so happy to see A on the list!
The inclusion of Busted and A are masterstrokes
I really enjoyed. Great tones from the Delonge guitar. What are you using for amplification?
Thanks! I run everything through an Axe FX II.
Love the AVA guitar
Always nice seeing Ska bands in these kinds of videos.
A - Starbucks, fucking brilliant song, couldn't get enough if it when I was a teenager
Did not expect to see Busted!!
That was sick dude!
You must have played all the Tony Hawks pro skater games!! A few of these songs I remember first hearing playing THPS! 🔥
How can one possibly know all these bands in one lifetime?
Anyway this video brought me back to the early '00s when I used to listen to pop-punk....
Best Green Day riff is Prosthetic Head (2:14), imo
Thanks for making me discover a lot of bands!
I remember hearing the I GOT AN IDEA FOR A MOVIE song in a rollerblading video game but I forgot what it was called lol
Dude you're killin it with the tom delonge les paul. And the macbeth AVA strap? Sheesh. You had me at dammit
Special thanks for adding rufio man!)
Just WOW i enjoyed every one song, they are on my daily basis playlist since 2004 (i know some songs are after that year).
Wow, was not expecting A Starbucks! Amazing song.
Indeed. Nice to see some recognition for one of the smaller but varied bands
Righteous.
Amazing pop punk bands and songs that people don't know about:
Sidelines "Alpaca Lips"
Turnover "Sasha"
Northrunner "Stag Hill"
Mathletes "Badstreet USA"
Oso Oso "Basking in the Glow"
Signals Midwest "Sanctuary City"
Sonder Bombs "I Don't Have One Anymore"
Our Past Days "Bloom Where You're Planted"
Iron Chic "Time Keeps on Slipping into the (Cosmic) Future"
Future Teens "Alone at the Party"
Big Nothing "Waste My Time"
Yeeeeaaaah thumbs up for Busted
¡This is so cool! SALUDOS DESDE COLOMBIA 🤘🏼
RUFIO 👍👍👍, I didn't expect it
0:42 = copyright claimed....
sad
It's nice to see Teenage Bottlerocket on the list :). But seeing a NUFAN cover instead of the original song kinda dissapointed me (the cover is lit Tho). But the video is great in general, I will check out the bands I don't know, good job man
Yeah it's supposed to be NUFAN on the list, I just like playing the Strung Out version too much.
@@SugarpillProd I can't blame on you because that version is awesome XD
Came here for this. Strung Out don’t get nearly the love they should in general… that cover is amazing. Also “Above Me” riff is so damn classic. But Lagwagon takes the cake I think.
The one you deleted is best. Screeching is king
Outstanding video bud! Question for “Crashed the Wedding” riff the amp setting is semi clean right ?
Thank you! Usually I'll keep my rhythm tracks cleaner, and maybe crank a little more on the lead, but as a general rule I try to use as little gain as I can get away with for both. Hard to say if I was doing this back when I made the video though, as it's a pretty old one, haha. Hope that helps!
@@SugarpillProd thanks for your reply bud! I will take a look to my amp settings, too much to ask, where I can find the exact tab for that riff " CRASHED THE WEDDING" , I'm playing with capo first fret and 1st and second string with fret 3 and 6 involved , but not sure ...
Oh I just work out everything by ear, so I wouldn't have used a tab for it. It can help to watch some live videos though, and try to cross-reference that with whatever tab you're currently using, just to check how accurate it may be. Online tabs can be very hit and miss, haha.
RUFIO!!!!
Nice job! loved seeing the swingin utters in the mix. Can u do Hello Charlatan for us too?
Body jar…. I had forgot about them. Haha less than Jake… I didn’t know you play the trombone too.
Love it man!
Penguins and polar bears misses out. Killer vid though!
Punk rock modern still best i guess ❤️🔥🔥
Nice to hear those songs from thps 💯
I gave myself a “test” to see how many of these I knew without looking at the text on screen. I got 16/25. Sad.
Awesome!
Never even heard of half of these. Missing a lot of actual iconic riffs
Busted too 👀
Shit ya! Teenage bottle rocket!!
nice surprise to see busted on here
broo do you have the tabs for the end of the Crashed the wedding? I cant figure it out
I have a site where you can request tabs, if you're interested - sugarpilltabs.blogspot.com/
sick af
The queers and rufio don’t get enough love! Debra jean is beach boys punk at its finest
You can edit the title as 24* since you accidentally deleted one
nice
do you have a spotifiy playlist of all these songs ?
Nah sorry, I don't use Spotify.
Glad to see Teenage Bottlerocket!!
What guitar is this
#MAKEPOPPUNKGREATAGAIN!
Greet From Indonesia 🇮🇩🔥🙏🤘
When were Busted classed as punk🤔
'Pop Punk'.
Was surprised m+ms wasn't on here
Yeah I was only doing one per band. M+M's is my favourite Blink riff though.
@@SugarpillProd understandable natives might be mine
Is Ramones pop punk?
Most people credit them as being the first.
As bad ass as hell song is, I think Fat Lip or In Too Deep have much more famous and iconic pop punk riffs for Sum 41.
I did say I purposely left out the super overplayed ones, just because I don't see the point of including the same riffs you'd find in every pop punk medley. Also Hell Song is just way better than those two.
Over my head is also killer!
Nice work but I think you're Tom delong guitar needs some fretboard conditioner
While it's nice to see Lit get some love, I wouldn't classify them in pop punk. While there is elements of punk in their music, they're really more alternative than pop punk.
That's a huge song within the pop punk scene though, regardless of how you class their genre.
@@SugarpillProd learned something new today. Prior never heard it classified as a pop punk song with exception of one of those punk goes cover compilations.
Dammit where is Dammit
The Hell Song - Pop Punk ?
Wanna do a colab on above me? (A little bit faster though) :D
Y'all should check out my band!
Tom’s face and fat mikes face not in the thumbnail ...... really ???
Guys were are the chemical romances?
Damn copyrights
Im so offended blink 182 is even in the thumbnail that im not gonna watch this. I bet you didnt even included any good sum41 songs.
There are only 24 riffs, not 25. 🤔 👻
Yeah, there was supposed to be a Screeching Weasel song in there, but I accidently deleted it while editing.
@@SugarpillProd Oh, I see. 😅 Anyway, amazing video, bro! Like all your videos. I'm such a great fan of you. 🤘😎
Face reavel
Anyone gonna tell this dude he had no sound for the hell song ?
Anyone gonna tell you to read the chapters / description?
@@SugarpillProd nah , rather just watch a video I enjoy than read 100000 word description
I mean it literally comes up on the chapters at the bottom of the screen, so...
