@@CGODJust remember especially with prefab enclosures when you invert your subs your port area shrinks so that’s why most times when subs are inverted it’s with a box that’s designed for it
If you subs are bottoming out on lows thats how know its bad. Pounding the higher bass really hard is often what blows subs tho because they are not moving and cooling as much so becarefull with the high as well. Sometimes subs have a bit of a smell of glue when working hard but its nothing to worry about sometimes it is. Now that there inverted you can feel the magnet to see how hot it is. Kinda warm is okay very warm or straight up hot is not okay
Yeah for sure! I checked the subs for heat and they were barely warmer than my hand so I’m assuming I’m just loosening up the assembly as the subs haven’t seen this much abuse before.
I’ve done this a few times and don’t like it , gets deeper but loses spl for sure. Buttt!! I have not switched around the phase switch that I was told by an old school basshead
I haven’t tried swapping the phase but I can do that from the head unit. I just wanted to see if it’d feel more powerful, after this video I ratchet strapped the subs down and it feels like it has more power.
Get you some skar zvx D2 v2 subs & at least 1 RP 3500.1 with the proper box & it's going to really beat that old box chevy. I went from 1 10 nemesis & a nemesis 3km to 1 evl 12 to 2 evl d1 v2 12's & a dkar rp3500.1 & boy what a HUGE DIFFERENCE. I also got all skar tx68 door & cab mid range speakers & skar spxt1 tweeters running on a sundown sbf200.4 & it does justice in the 11 f250 super duty. 👌 When I was running the single evl 12 I was getting the sub smell as well but it's pretty of the break in process. Skars are k kw. For the sub smell in the evls until they are broke in. However I must say that my zvx's never smelt once they are just k own for the dust caps bearing off of them.
I’ve been told the EVL’s just always smell, ever since this video they’ve always smelled after a good bass session. If I ever blow these 12’s or upgrade I’ll probably hop on the Sundown bandwagon and get a proper box
So I did a little experiment I have four DC audio m38 I inverted them in a box that was tuned to 33 Hertz played them loud listen to different kinds of music and on the lows they excelled they pound it out the lows really loud everything else was muted not very musical so I put them in the box facing up they still excel in the lows but now it is much more musical and louder across the whole bass spectrum much better sounding much cleaner doesn't pound as hard in the lows though just barely
@@rainbowsnowflake5754 yeah that’ll be from the subwoofer displacement itself, mine always does better on lows but suffers up high. I noticed my subwoofers take more power to move now with the added airspace inside
there it doesn't sound like a good investment to you because of the following 1 The box is labyrinth type and when a subwoofer is inverted the front part must be completely sealed 2 is not the design to invert the subwoofer .an inverted subwoofer in a turbo box will give great results
Pretty expensive tho but get you a gately audio box u want need to inverted ya subs. That box trash n to small. You need a gately audio 4.0 cf one u will be happy.
By inverting your subs gives you more cubic space in the box, it will definitely change frequency. Good video my friend! Nice ride also!
Thanks! Yes basically I was hoping for more powerful lows

Nice clean install 👌 cool video . I like those old trucks like you have plenty space for customizing .
Can’t beat it! Shorter than a single cab shortbed but still seats 5 comfortably

Nice whip!
Thanks!
Looks killer, let me get more system videos
I’ve got a few others from other setups, once I get more power I’ll make another video
You can get a voltmeter that plugs into youre power outlet thing that reads out voltage digitally to a decimal point
Yeah I’ve seen those, I believe my voltage gauge is somewhat correct as it does react correctly. I’m sure I need a better battery
You should do a killer sound system on the bike 🔥
I don’t know about killer but I got an idea of what I wanna do for sounds on the bike. First bike with music so we’ll see how it goes.
Why mount your aftermarket radio somewhere else and not where your stock radio is?
Had it like that when I bought the truck, original radio location doesn’t fit modern stereos. Very limited selection
We're do u get that alternator I need 1 for my 94 also
I ordered mine from Brand X Electrical, you can find them online or on Facebook. I’ve got another video of it being installed on my truck too

Depends if the box is built for inversion.

u need a spell check
If you happen to get into an accident and those subs went flying you would be 🤕☠️ that's the biggest negative to mounting external 😮
@@jacobclark89 they’re ratchet strapped into place but definitely is a possibility!
Inverting your subs in a sense turns your vehicle into the enclosure, or am I trippin
I would like to think you’re trippin, you can build a wall the subs mount on and that would turn part of your vehicle into the enclosure.
Low key though, your not wrong
