Dam ! You shoot more scotch doubles then anybody I have ever seen Matt ! And with a 28 gauge on top of that ! Good shooting and another great video ! The best on UA-cam !
Well Matt, you were definitely on the X for this hunt! Good shooting and great videography. Really enjoyed the post limit teal bombing in to that pond. Thanks!
Those teal looked like mosquitos buzzing around there for a minute! That was too cool watching them dump into that little slough like that. Looking forward to the next one!
Hey Matt, wanted to say that I really love your videos. All ways super satisfying and fun to watch, your an awesome shot and you always make it ethical. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your other videos like the dove hunting. I think it would be really fun to watch you go after some different birds, quail, pheasant, crow etc. great video as always!
Just wonderful ! Low concealment, no impact to camouflage yourself, a pothole full of the very natural foods they like, your gun not doing either a loud sound wave (I have Seen that too with my 410, I am glad Salt Creek Custom Ammo has some but they are Turkey oriented.... Never mind, WE Will manage!) Coup double Again (your Scotch Double!) and the TSS18#9 shot IS not bothered by the végétation ! I am sometimes worried when I sée you shooting so close to your spinner on the Shotcam... Thanks for your restrain of not abusing of the situation, thanks for being there on this afternoon hunt and sharing your expertise and expérience on the subject again! Such a precious vidéo full of prospects and learning tips! Keep on going😀, take Care of your viewers, many thanks Again, Saint Hubert be Always with you!
@@HighPrairieSportsmen Many thanks, didn't know they could, I am French !!! Will definitely try, even in smaller shot number, #11, for woodcocks snipes in marshy Woods and regular marshlands of course, whatever the cost, there IS not going that much shooting so I better make it counts, modestly.... Thanks for the advices and in informations Again.
Yes, Matt, the green in the secondary feathers is more dominant, but the key trait is one or more dark spots in the white secondary coverts. If you have a sweep net or can borrow one, I'd encourage you to sweep through the smartweed, barnyardgrass, etc. to sample the aquatic invertebrate fauna that should be rich in these wetlands. If you can't access a sweep net, you can use a kitchen strainer. I'd be happy to help identify the invertebrates if I could see the video before you publish it. Rick
@@HighPrairieSportsmenI can’t speak for Salt creek specifically but I’ve used APEX ammo 9 shot and it did just as good on big ducks. TSS is definitely worth it imo
Not seeing much in my area right now either. Headed to Saskatchewan for a guided duck, Goose and crane hunt in about a week so things should get a whole lot better. BTW how are you liking the Ethos Super Sport? I have the 20 ga and besides the great looks it shoots well for me too. I’ve shot quite a few perfect rounds of skeet with it and I haven’t done that for awhile with my other shotguns.
@@HighPrairieSportsmen that’s awesome I started watching you after I began looking at a 28ga. Once I saw you can do it all big brothers do I pulled the trigger. Used it first weekend of teal in Nebraska and did well. Then I picked up some salt creek ammo after watching and you showing your combination
Awesome hunt Matt! Makes the 100 degrees worth it
Thanks buddy!
Love how teal just dump into spreads with so much confidence. Excellent work toughing it out amidst this summer heat!
Right there with you!
I love it, whatever they do they do it quick

i think TSS 9 shot may have something to do with that and IC choke
Thanks Dale!
Definitely helps haha
95` in a little pond; that's just about our Florida hunts !! Great hunt and video, Thanks !!
Just no gators up here haha. Thanks!

That sound.... absolutely sick. Great capture buddy!
Thanks!
Great video! Teal bombing in and you limiting out on a 95F day. Awesome!

On the x for sure. Love that sound of there wings cutting the air
For sure!
Great hunt, great show Matt! Barry
Thanks Barry!

They were thick in there!
Love the sound of those dive bombing Teal!!
Right there with you!
@@HighPrairieSportsmen Almost as good as the sound of Quail flushing!!
Incredible hunt, what an afternoon.
Thanks!
Nice shallow, moist-soil wetland--perfect for teal. My reports are that teal abound in hurrican soaked Lousiana. Rick
Been seeing quite a few heading that way
You needed your two hunting buddies. Great day!
Haha yep
Awesome hunt! I bet the sit and watch after was just as amazing.
Absolutely! They put on an excellent show
Nice shooting man! That’s the type of teal action that we’ve been waiting for.
Thanks buddy! Tomorrow 🤞🏻

Doesn't get much better for teal season!
Sure hope we get a few this weekend for Tx opener!
Good luck!
Teal season starts tomorrow in my state. I’m looking forward to it.
Good luck!
So sick dude !
Thanks!
Right on brutha!
👍🏻
Great little hunt! You are lethal with the 28. Time to switch to a .410 double!
Thanks! Might have to do that
@@HighPrairieSportsmen Definitely, the 28 and 410 loads cost the same anyway!
Great hunt and video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Roadside hunt eh? That’s a duck hunter’s paradise!
Easy walk in haha
I always enjoy your videos. You should do a couple cook ups on here
Thanks! I'll see what I can whip up
Great hunt!
Thanks!
Nice hunt!!!
Thanks!
What great hunt!
Thanks buddy!
That was so awesome 🎉.
Thanks Dan!
You been slayin the teal lol
Been a great year so far
I think I had one come in range day before yesterday but I missed 😂 good shooting hoping for a day like this before teal season ends
Good luck!
Dang was that limit as fast as it seemed!!🤣
After they showed up, they didn't stop decoying. I left and there was still some flying around.
Very nice 👍🏽
Thanks Joe!
Great video.
Thanks!
Always deliver
I try my best

Great hunt! I think maybe this has been addressed in the past, but what on earth is behind the gun tapping before going up to shoot?
@darrendigby5602 thanks! The tapping is to activate the Shotkam
@@HighPrairieSportsmen Ahh I see, very cool. Keep them coming
That 9 shot tss salt creek is doing some work man

With those #9's do yall have alot of pellets left in the meat?
@@Kranz.J I haven't found one yet. Between velocity, density, and range, I think most of them pass through.

What brand of choke are you using and what's the constriction?
Thanks! It's all listed at the start of the video
Nice...I would hunt there again if I was you lol
Haha hopefully it doesn't dry up soon
@6:05 you can hear the bugs. Early season is a weird time of year.
No kidding. I'm ready for a frost to take out the flies and mosquitoes.
My eyes would be swelled shut and probably wouldn't be able to breath with that kochia.
Ouch
how effective is afternoon hunting? ive rarely done it (never for teal)...any deciding factors on when to go or you just try it out when you can?
It's really hit or miss for teal. Scouting frequently is imperative. Other than that, just a "you don't know if you don't go" type of deal.
❤❤❤❤❤
👍🏻
Kept mistaking bugs for birds, glad we’re cooler up here and still 2 weeks from duck opener…
Yeah, I'm ready for a frost
@@HighPrairieSportsmen amen to that, hate hunting in shorts..
What chokes are you using?
It's at the start of the video
What kind of shells are you shooting
Salt Creek TSS 9s
Couple questions
- do you primarily hunt public or private
- what section of Nebraska
- do you hunt geese with 28ga?
I hunt a mix of both each year. I hunt all across the state and several others as well. I do hunt geese with my 28 ga on occasion.

Hi there
You can disecrn adult males by absence of brown feathers in white wing patch. Rick
That's what I was thinking. Isn't the green speculum more pronounced in mature drakes as well?
Come on Oct 1st.
Getting closer
Need a dog
No, I don't
gotta love sitting there listen to them bombing in to the decoy spread.
It's a spectacle for sure
