I can't believe I actually got around to making a all items/upgrades complete guide for Mega Man X3. This complete guide will help you acquire every single Dr.Light capsule, heart tank, sub tank, and the gold armor. I apologize for this taking so long but I was jaded from playing so much Mega Man X games. That being said, this is still my least favorite Mega Man X game but for those who want to complete it, I got the best guide for you.

Vile must be defeated with Ray Splasher (w/o armor) or Spinning Blade (w/ armor) prior to entering doppler stages.
X1: Make a somewhat difficult jump to get a heart tank
X3: Get the leg upgrade in Blizzard Buffalo's stage. Kill Tunnel Rhino so you can use his weapon in Neon Tiger's stage to get the buster upgrade. Then go fight Volt Catfish for his weapon Triad Thunder. Congrats you can now revisit Tunnel Rhino's stage to knock over a rock using Triad Thunder and the buster upgrade to get a heart tank.
The backtracking is so bad in this game. Not as bad as X5 though.
At least it's not like x2 which made the bosses annoying and boring and also had an incredibly annoying jump to get the buster upgrade
@@rockk9753 The bosses in X2 are far better than X3. X2's evolve over the fight. Many have an exciting spectacle. Almost every X3 boss is a nightmare to fight without its boss weakness, but a complete cake walk with it. See Blast Hornet.
@@Pan_Z na they have annoying gimmicks which makes them boring in x2 I think they're easier to fight in x3, the ostrich and freaking alligator in x2 are so cheap and corny to fight
X3 is like x1 once you figure out their patterns they're easy to fight in x2 they're annoying even if you know their patterns

Very. Especially since I’m following a strategy guide on the internet to avoid dying as if I’m made of glass and there are 3 sea creature related mavericks that look the same on stage select lol
The multiple ride armors where a good idea, but the fact that you needed to get the defaut RA to be able to use the others meant that depending on the boss order you choose, you'd barely get to use them.
I agree with you. The F ride armor is so situational too. It's only useful for the underwater section in toxic seahorses stage.
X3 in general can be described as "good idea, bad design."
just some things, you don't need the N ride armor to get the others, you can acquire them but not just them though. You don't need ride armors for toxic seahorse's pink capsule or ride armor, just charge the buster and the ice and up you go, then you can skip on the water, with a good order you only have to revisit tunel rhino to get everything, kinda like going back to chill penguin for the heart

X3 gets a lot of hate but I personally like it better than X2, I still like it as a game I just don't like the boss fights in X2, I also like all the new things they were trying out in X3 but the buster upgrade is better in X2 and one of my favorite mavericks is from X2 morph moth is awesome

You have go beat blast hornet for the crates to disappear in gravity beetles stage
How do you get the rides to come out when you're in one of those platforms?
You need to get the N Armor first. After that you can access the rides from the platform
I would start with Tunnel Rhino first. Get his weapon, then go to Blizzard Buffalo stage to get the heart tank using the Tornado fang.
"vile must be beat with s.blade"
Also in doppler stage 2:
"Vile must be beat with r.splash"
X1: **gives you the Leg Upgrade right in the middle of the stage**
X3: "Guess what you have to do to get the Leg Upgrade? AN IMPOSSIBLE JUMP! Good luck, 'cuz you're gonna need it!"

EDIT : I got my answer. Bit appeared everywhere when I wanted to fight a fifth Boss.
I restarted the whole game .. I'm a little 'bit' salty. 🙃

Dang I did beat vile with buster. Is the Z saber really that strong?
Its the most overpowered weapon in the game. Kills Sigma in 2 hits.
Considering it 2 shots kiaser sigma yeah it's op and you don't need full health like for the hydouken and shryouken could be wrong but like 90% sure you can bust it out anytime I never could hydoken sigma but I hit the shredder sigma and virus sig both forms in x2
Ok yeah he did it in video so my memory server's me correct I could beat sigma on x's-1-6 never gave a shit about the one's after heard they were shit anyways x6 was kinda shit but still playable

How do you change with zero
Hit the start button to access the pause menu. From there use the L or R trigger to switch to an image of Zero. Press start to play as him.
Whats the point of the rode armors? Got that first one and stupidly fell down that hole and missed the elevator and died and the armor isngone forever.
It just a little bonus for ya to help you get thru the rest of the stage?
How did you made Frog Armor jump in mid-air in the water?
When youre on the surface of the water, press jump and you will jump off the water. Repeat in a rythmic pattern to stay above water.

18:02 you acidentally called the chip upgrade and the stage wrong. Its the leg chip enhancement, and its in Toxic Seahorse's stage.

For some reason the pink capsules for the golden armor wont let me go in, except the legs from toxic seahorse. Does anyone know why?
if you collect one chip then you gotta live with it for the rest of the game, but not if you're playing on the ps1 version
or restarting the game to your last save point (note: you can only have one chip at a time)

Have you beaten blast hornet? That usually makes the blocks disappear as well.
I gotta ask cause i don't honestly know, does the Head Chip really recharge the subtanks as well, is it just a thing with the gold armor, or is that just something this romhack i'm playing (the one where Zero's fully playable) has as a thing?
I think it only recharges health but it's been quite a long time so I could be wrong.

God, the worst one to get is that Kangaroo armor...Good lord...They expect you to jump like a skipping stone here...only best possible way to deal with this is to make sure you don't destroy any of the Mine Tortoises...Without those floating mines there, you should be set, all that needs to be done is learn the rhythm and be sure to do that mid-air dash near the end...If any of the Mine Tortoises(Not to be confused with Mine Turtle...Asdfmovie ftw), the shells CAN be destroyed with Tornado Fang...But if you want to get rid of the entire robot in one shot..Gravity Well does that...But, of course there's always the respawn rate, and these suckers LOVE to respawn once they're completely destoyed...I mean it, the respawn rate in this game is ridonkulous...So just shut off your need to kill enemies, take the hits if needed, destroy the propellers, and then do the skipping stone bullshit...No mines = easier(Almost too easy)...Mainly due to the fact if you screw up and get hit on the stone skipping, you sink right back to the bottom
That was def the hardest one for me when I was younger. Keeping a rythm while dodging those mines made my teenage fingers cramp and sweat.
Just charge the ice weapon underwater,it will create a ice stone that you can ride to the top of the water and stand on

I tried to go there down the fake pit but I already beat all the characters and I didn’t see anything why doesn’t it work if you get all your grades but not any Vile capsules
Did you get any of the special upgrade chips? If so, you are unable to get the golden armor.

@@kargy4101 Unfortunately not. One you collect the special upgrade chips you forfeit the ultimate armor.
To get Gold armor, Do I have to get all sub tanks, and life-up and giant robots? Or just armor parts?
You have to get everything minus the super parts. Don’t grab one at all. Regular upgrades are fine

I'm not quite positive if that's true. Now that you mention I do remember a guide book saying that for the X Collection
I needed to be at full health to get the gold armor I thought I lost access to it because I saw a pink capsule earlier on I didn't get in it though luckily

You can't have any chips before getting the golden suit. Otherwise you can only have one chip upgrade.

I think you just have to have a full health bar. Could replenish with sub-tanks
But zero did't get an ultimate armor as gold or black armor

How do you get the Good Third Armour again? I got soo the Sub-Tanks, Heart Tanks, & all the ride armours + an enchantment chip and I didn’t get it
You can't get any of the enchantment chips at all and be at full health as well

Gold Armor will get you everything. Avoid the super chips since they will remove the chance of you getting the golden armor

No but you need all upgrades MINUS the super upgrades. Don't get those at all.

It’s a secret chip that allows you to get all 4 extra enhancements

I'm trying to 100% this game... but the false floor leading to vile isn't there. The false floor is gone. Why? Did I do something wrong? I only beat 4 mavericks, and I beat bit. (Not byte yet) what am I missing? I also beat vile in catfish level. Not ice level yet. But the false floor in the crawl fish level isn't there?
Edit: I just checked, and the vile capsule in the ice stage is gone, too. 😞
same, i'm guessing he is findable at 3 different locations and when you defeat him. all of them are disabled.

I had no idea about any of these armors and got one maverick remaining without having unlocked any of this shit except 2 energy tanks and 2 heart tanks thst can be found without powerups.

This game has many unnecessary stuff. Ride armor are cool but I barely used them. Zero is also cool but he's so underwhelming and it's way better to use X. The side boss (Bit and Byte) is such a chore to beat, it's should've been an option to fight them or not like the X-hunter. And why is it so complicated to get all the upgrades???
Not to mention the stage which were quite a downgrade from the previous 2 games.
But still, a Mega Man game is a Mega Man game, so I'm not really that disappointed.
