I think temp v gives you the parasite which is what enables the temporary powers, but it can't live in the body for long without reinforcements. I think hitting the 5 dose mark builds its numbers up enough that it can reproduce faster than it dies off, and then the parasite causes the lesions. Then exposure to compound v juices it up to be huge. Like I'm thinking the temp v-only parasite is microscopic. Personal theory, anyway. Yours is solid too.
I think the single most important part of what Kessler says at the end there kinda gets overshadowed by the surprise of it all - "he" killed Ezekiel. Meaning that either: a) "he's" the "illness" itself, an entirely different being which lives inside of Butcher, or b) that part of Butchers subconscious can, and will, take control when it suits "him" That's a pretty dire prospect.

Huighie going through all that while not being fine, A-Train got a small taste of being a real superhero, Sage got her mentality reduced to that of a child, Evil Batman got his money donated to good causes then Alfred killed him, Firecracker got Homelander wrapped around her finger with the mommy milk, Kimiko is sad and alone without her better half Frenchie, Butcher is experiencing the similar mental issues that Sam from Gen V experienced except Butcher has a V'd up brain tumor...JEEZ LOUISE. I need to catch my breath for the next episode.
To say that I didn't see that ending coming with Homelander and Firecracker would be an understatement. While there was humor in the Hughie SA scenes. It was overly gratuitous, ran way too long, and was kind of unnecessary. The scene with Hughie breaking down with Annie crush me.
A-Train has been the main highlight for me this season. Since damn near everyone keeps predicting and theorizing his demise, I actually hope the showrunners do something different with the character as that would become quite predictable at this point. But maybe that's wishful thinking on my part since he has become one of my favorite characters.
I would think by now most ppl at Vought, know about Homelander and Madylnn's "special" relationship and the milk proclivity. Therefore it's likely all over the internet and social media. Not to mention Homelander having a refridgerator made that holds milk bottles. And if it's ACTUAL breast milk, someone is getting it for him.😆
Interesting fact about the characters Tek-Knight and Laddio, Tek-Knight is basically a parody character of Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne while Laddio is a parody character of Robin, who happens to be Batman’s sidekick in the DC Comics. Also, Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character Joe Kessler is Butcher’s hallucination just like how Butcher is seeing Becca as a hallucination, which means that Becca is Butcher’s angelic side while Kessler is Butcher’s devilish/darker side of Butcher himself.
He was a lab baby, nonetheless. Odds are IVF vs "natural" conception like the kids in Logan. Ryan would technically be the first without lab interference, but Homelander was still pretty close.
I wish that the show runners would take male SA more seriously , but I was really glad to see that it was here , and that much of the conversation as a whole surrounding it has been more honest about it. I still defend the right to include these scenes and the need for art to not be "safe"....however , I don't think playing it for laughs should be something we just accept. There should at least always be a conversation to be had on the merits of such a depiction , male or female related.

If this was a real situation, then it would be horrifying for someone to laugh but it is a fiction show.
