@@marcinstyle85 I have 2018 60mm SLR Ones came with dreadful Gavia tubeless tyre. Bought Conti GP5000 TL but couldn't get them on. Now running Contis with tubes no problem
Just got this bike and your video helped me pull the trigger. Probably the best value aero race bikes on the market but without a doubt a heavy bike. 18lbs stock in a size 49cm XS and with my pedals, computer/mount, cages, one bottle, saddlebag, and sensors the bike weighs in at 20.8lbs. In comparison my 2020 Canyon Ultimate CF SL 8.0 Disc w/ Hunt Aero 35 Carbon Wheels weighed 18.5lbs with everything loaded. Yes the Foil is an Aero bike, but at this price range it probably should at least be 1lb-1.5lbs lighter. Overall great bike with my only other qualms being the seat post wedge cover being stupid and properly torqueing the wedge without banging the seat post is pretty hard. The bike does support an out-front mount and it's made by K-Edge, so it's really high quality but it's also $70 and there are zero third party alternatives and it's actually pretty hard to find. Previous Foils came with chain catchers and while this years model still has the mount built in, Scott did not provide the catcher. The chain catcher is either discontinued or not offered on Syncros website anymore and I had to order one from Germany and I am hoping it's still compatible with this years Foil. The bike does not come with a power meter, however for less than $300 you can buy a SRAM AXS ETAP left crank upgrade, however this is pretty much sold out in the most common sizes. It's great that the Schwalbe ONE Race Guard comes standard in size 28c and they look really great with the grey side walls, but the tires are not tubeless compatible even though the wheelset is and while they perform well, they just aren't as puncture resistant compared to something like a GP5000.
I have this bike and my first impressions was wow, this bike looks great and I am not a green or grey person. Second, a lot of bang for the buck like GC Performance and others have stated, the bike at 18.22lbs is heavy. The cheapest weight to shed weight is going SRAM Red AXS 48-35 and that shed 283g at $690! A lot of money but per gram that's more weight loss than you will see in getting a better wheelset. Another weigh to loose a lot of weight but even cheaper is getting a carbon saddle. I didn't like the Belcarra saddle and instantly swapped it for a Prime Primavera Carbon Saddle at $120 and 133g, thus saving around 95g. So for $810, the Red AXS cranks and new saddle will save you 378g or .83lbs bringing the bike down to 17.39lbs Like an idiot I went the more expensive route since I wanted to change more parts and changed the stock tires to Continental GP5000 28mm $130 and saved 50g, SRAM Force AXS 48-35 cranks $268 and saved 100g, changed the rotors to Centerline XR 160mm Center Locks $180 and saved $54, changed to a Force AXS RD $377 and saved $40g, changed to a Force 10-30 Cassette $195 and maybe saved 20g, and went with a Prime Primavera Carbon Saddle $120 and saved 95g. All together saving 359g for $270 and bringing the bike down to 17.43lbs. I plan to upgrade the wheelset at $1300 and tubes and maybe save another 230g or .50lbs, bringing the bike just under 17lbs if you don't count pedals, cages, mounts, sensors, computer, saddlebag, ect. At this price you can argue that just getting the RC 10 at $6500 would have been much cheaper
Crazy how they have made bikes heavier. My Scott foil 10 rim brake version from 2015 is around 17.5 lb with Ultegra, when I put my carbon wheels on it. My cockpit is still aluminum as well. This bike new cost around $2600 5 years ago. This bike is going to be 18.5 once you put pedals on it. I would seriously consider removing the front brake if I was riding this in Florida.
I'm getting my 2020 Addict RC Pro frame back from carbon repair in 2 weeks. Can't wait to build it back up the paint on that is primo, sparkles and fade to black aka carbon clear coat but the front is a chameleon affect. Until then I also built up a Matte Grey 2020 RC 15 Frameset with all of the 2020 Pro components, carbon bar, mech dura ace, hunt 44mm UD Carbon Spoke etc. Without pedals, mounts, cages I've got it down to 15.04lbs 6.82kg and that's with the heaviest Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow manganese saddle.
dammm that sounds like a nice build, I want to get a crazy lightweight scott bike, all th ebieks I do are stock but I would love ot do a lightweight custom one
